I've read a little bit of Immanuel Kant, though I don't think he should be taken too seriously, as I believe the events of WWII demonstrated his three maxims to be fundamentally flawed.

A quote from an anarchist who thinks government doesn't ever work. Yeah, that's not a reputable source...

"[internal biases and prejudices] are not usually race based."

Actually, that generally depends on where you live, how you were raised, and what your income level is. Racism is usually less common among demographics with higher income, and/or in geographical areas which are ethnically diverse. Geographical areas which contain an ethnically homogenous population or a low income demographic will have a strong tendency towards racial prejudice, especially in areas where both of these conditions are present.

Haha, well, I was actually talking about controlling yourself in that comment, not getting votes... ;)

...OR you can dominate and control everyone who doesn't think like you... and vote for those who agree and will use brute force to get everyone to comply.

tsk, tsk, you went beyond the bounds of the example given to you. You said "government representatives elected by the people", not "government representatives elected by the people and ratified by other officials and wait don't forget the Constitution".
And the question was, "will YOU agree that you will be bound by my decisions"?
    read Kant much?

My computer has sound and I found it on YouTube but couldn't identify the sequence. I'm. listening to Andres Cardenes conducting excerpts. Any clues?

If I had sound all the time, I could probably find it, but as it is, I can't find it because I can't hear it. :|
I'll do some roundabout looking, tho.

Supposing you can get your decisions approved by the rest of the city or state counsel (depending on whether you're elected as mayor or governor), and your decisions do not violate the Constitution or any other previously established laws (like the Civil Rights Act), then you're perfectly within the bounds of your power and authority to designate whatever behavior you wish as illegal.

Though if it turns out that the ramifications of your decision cause more harm than good (as was the case with the 18th Amendment), the people are within their right to petition that you reverse your laws, or to remove you from power through impeachment if you do not. ;)

I went to take a look before I forgot that my computer, for some reason known only to itself, has decided that I don't really NEED sound on YouTube ALL the time.

    hmmm......
How 'bout this. You agree, when I get elected, [ulp] that you will be bound by my decisions on what constitutes immoral behavior and its consequences.
N.B. you have to answer within 5 minutes, no fair looking up my comments to see who I am.

"recognized your own internal biases and prejudices"
to be honest, those are generally good barometers. they are not usually race based. once people get to know one another-the proof is in the pudding
