Bill Moore chooses to honor the passing of Neil Armstrong by denigrating Ayn Rand.
He says that Rand favored separating "deserving elites" from the "undeserving poor" and that if people like John Galt were in control, there would have been no space program. This is akin to saying had Queen Isabella not financed Columbus, no one would have discovered America.

Personal responsibility and capitalism do not preclude anything. Capitalism gives the poor motivation and opportunity to rise.

Capitalism does not preclude cooperative projects involving the government such as flood control or even a space program, as long as elected officials are transparent and responsible to the people for what they do.

Neil Armstrong did his duty to his country in an exemplary manner. He was in the right place at the right time, with the right training and took a calculated risk which brought him fame and financial reward.

Sounds like a capitalist to me. Rest in peace, Neil.
