    I warned a liberal not to park under a pine tree by my driveway because it drips sap. He gladly moved his car. After a bit , I asked him about The HIV law in California removing felony penalty for infecting someone with HIV . He said HIV is no longer a death sentence and medicine keeps it at bay. I said "I should have let you park under the pine tree" He had a puzzled look on his face.

      I guess that since it only inconveniences you it is more important to make sure the politically correct carrier doesn't get made to feel bad than to protect me. I guess this means that the politically correct carrier has the right go waving his fist about and if he hits my nose it is OK as long as it doesn't kill me! I mean it is more important that he be able to express himself by waving his fist around. than have to control himself in any way so I am not injured.

        It does seem to be that way, doesn't it. There is no line drawn between personal responsibility and society. They want to legislate everything. This should be called "The Age of the Legislaturalists".

      I bet he voted for Hillary. Thats the first question I ask when I meet someone. If they DID vote for Hillary, I just get away from them as fast as I can.
      HIV isnt a death sentence anymore, BUT you have to take a lot of meds that someone has to pay for, and they do have side effects.

    I am sorry, but HIV is still a life changing infection. Sure advances in medication has extended life and minimized deaths, but it isn't cheap. So if you knowingly infect someone, you are adding expenses to their lives and cutting a few years off their lives. And now they are going to give you a slap on the wrist. Why do I get a Hollywood vibe about this? Why should these 'special people' have to worry they could actually go to jail if they decide to give that special fan a roll in the hay.

    Lets see if we can re-state this

    Walking around with a gun in your hand is not usually a crime....shooting someone is.

    Walking around with a fatal communicable disease is not a crime...knowingly giving it to someone...isnt!!!??? Huh? I guess when you are infected and die due to the actions of a politically correct person you are less fatally infected.

    Does this mean that if an Aids infected person shoots someone they are also not guilty of a felony?

      Their logic breaks down, which is not surprising with the liberal mindset. Most of the liberal legal framework is riddled with contradiction and special interest fingerprints, although, truth is, Republicans do the same, just for different groups. Reason to dump the whole mess and start over. Maybe we need the Party of the Disinterested to run, although I am sure that party has very, very few members.

    I didn't think that it was possible for a politician to exceed gross stupidity. Was I ever wrong! If you hate someone so much that you want to give them great discomfort,
    by giving them a disease at least don't make it a possibly fatal one. That's a misdemeanor?

          Isn't that amazing, but in reality, are not Big Pharma as eligible to rake in whatever the traffic will bear, as any other business? That would seem to present some kind of Objectivist dilemma, where does the social interest outweigh the individual or business interest.

            Using government to pass laws that increase demand for a product outside the free market and provide payment by transferring costs from those using the product to those who derive no benefit would appear to violate Objectivist principles. If Big Pharma has a product that succeeds in the free market by providing a service that consumers pay for themselves without coersion, then of course big pharma should be able to prosper as a result of their ethical production.

              So then, if Big Pharma has become mixed up in laws, policies and programs, that they lobbied for and contributed for, then their production and business becomes unethical. I would say we have that scenario.

      The only reason I can see for it is to somehow please the gay community, who think HIV was a government plot to kill them off, so now, you give it out like any VD, and the state will pay for your health care. Under their single payer silly idea, that would fit, but man, what a cost.

    So if I shoot you, but you do not die that is OK in CA as long as the medical community -- at the expense of society in general -- has treatments to stave off death from my shooting you. We wouldn't want to limit my freedom to express myself (swing my fist).
