Success is a dirty word to progressives

That whole "You didn't build that" socialistic redistributive mentality must get get kicked to the curb. Elizabeth Warren didn't build it, either. She and her little cadre of thieves are the wrecking balls destroying what others have worked so hard to build, at great personal risk. The greatest risk she takes each day is looking in the mirror. And eluding reason.

Warren's own words contradict her. Dig just a little deeper into just who "the rest of us" are. What would you wager the majority of her target audience don't pay a dime, or are on welfare? Also, dig a little deeper into what else is bought with that money. I'm willing to bet most of it isn't used to build roads (Hmm...gas tax, anyone? Perhaps we did build that after all), educate the workers (property tax, anyone? Perhaps we did build that after all), or pay for military and police.

The anti-Rand idiots consistently amuse me by always quoting the "roads and schools" argument first.

Truly. And who, exactly, is funding all of these things? Us. So. Yes, we DID build that! She is contemptible.

exactly... I have been stopping the idiots in their tracks. When they start in on the you didn't build it crap.. I have been pointing out that every year I pay out enough federal taxes to buy an Audi A3 outright. I then point our that despite that I am stuck still driving my 2001 Golf, that is rapidly approaching 1/3 of a million miles. I then point out that over my lifetime I have already payed out over a quater of a million dollars just to social security. I then remind them that since I am a type one I have no real hope of ever getting a penny of that back in retirement, since I will very likely not make it there. I then ask them how much they have been putting in, and who they think built what..

All said as if business owners don't pay taxes (at the point of a gun) and don't have a right to use the roads....all said with the fervor of hitler too... cuz if your yelling a hissy while lying it's much more convincing, I guess. But the sheep gobble up Bo's calmly told lies as well... I think it's more that they are hearing what they WANT to be true and the added snideness or anger behind it really makes them feel included in the hate-the-rich campaign.

    Hello NMA,
Progressive is a dirty word! Didn't the factory builder also pay taxes for the use of those roads and infrastructure? probably much more than the average road user too? Don't the people they employ pay taxes from the jobs they create? She is a simpleton.
    Regards,
    O.A.

I was attending a family picnic on July 4th. Someone asked me when I last took a vacation that was not partially work related. I had to think a while and replied 1985. My wife and I went to Hawaii. Best trip I've ever been on. I have done a lot of travelling but there is always a little work connected. I enjoy my work and have had a rewarding life. It can easily require putting in long hours and 6 or 7 day weeks. I become furious when people complain about being broke or lacking opportunity. They are usually the slacker and moochers.

I share your ire, LITTLERED. It makes me grit my teeth over the whiny lazy attitude of those who can't seem to figure out it takes hard work to succeed at anything. My husband always is working on vacations. Commerce doesn't stop when he leaves the office. Nor do the daily "fires" which need to be managed and put out.
