Thank you all for your comments. They are evidence contrary to much opinion that students of objectivism are unfeeling automatons. No, we can be every bit as compassionate and benevolent as any bleeding heart Liberal. We just prefer to minimize the suffering through productive means as opposed to destructive. Emotion in its proper place, behind reason...
I do wish you all happy holidays, and I hope if you cry, most of the tears are tears of joy!

My mom always cries at Christmas when she thinks about the sacrifice that Christ made.

Oh..the stand by reply is "after 2 glasses of water". lol The Bob Hope video made me cry...and I've had quite enough crying for one week (the shooting, life, I had a horrible root canal experience yesterday, I may be pre menopausal! I'm apparently losing my memory too, I forgot my best friends birthday, I forgot to show up for work one afternoon (so embarrassing)..and today I had a teacher steal my work and it took 4 people and 20 minutes to figure out where the heck it went. Very frustrating! Who takes other people's work? The golden rule is "if it isn't yours DON'T TOUCH IT!" Oy! It's been a rough week. Why am I venting here? I'm highjacking a post, and I hate when people do that. Oh and it's Christmas which is like doing the olympics. I'm being a big cry baby and I have no real reason for it. I have no business whining. Life is good and I have my family safe. Slap me! My Christmas parties were last week :( I'm off to have hot chocolate and to watch "Elf" with my husband and son. That should help lol. Drink some water!
