"Healthcare" the next Trojan Horse
Posted by Hiraghm 12 years, 4 months ago to Government
It's a bit obvious now, but I've known for some time that this whole healthcare "crisis" that's been promoted for years was being used to promote increased government control over the individual's life.
First they hook us in by providing the healthcare needs of the indigent. Then, in an alliance between corrupt business, corrupt government, and corrupt media, they slowly propagandized a 'right' to healthcare; they orchestrated an environment where insurance was to cover any healthcare process, from simple checkups to emergency surgery. Eventually they managed to get "health care" equated to "health insurance".
There is a twin purpose behind Obamacare; maybe a triple purpose. First, there is to set the all-important precedent that the federal gov't has the authority to dictate any aspect of your life they choose. Even dystopian movies of recent years promote this idea, even when agents of the federal government are the bad guys. The idea that they *can* interfere is preserved amid denouncements against *how* they interfere. Should Obamacare be allowed to be implemented, the most important aspect of our legal system will use it to spread tentacles of control through any useful aspect of individual life; precedent. One precedent for healthcare, ironically, is the concealed-carry laws.
The 2nd Amendment says the right to keep and bear shall not be infringed. Unlike the 1st, it does not specify who is forbidden from infringing; nobody can stop you. Yet States and local governments place all kinds of restrictions, including the presumption that they can regulate possession by requiring "permits", and limiting the method of bearing. At least in this State, concealed carry permits require firearms safety courses... at the expense of the applicant. In other words, in order to exercise your 2nd Amendment right, you have to *purchase* training.
The 55mph speed limit blackmail was an early experiment in this campaign, btw. People have been allowed to pretend that driving is a privilege and not a right, in spite of the 9th Amendment, in spite of the fact that the federal gov't did not invent automobiles, did not build automobiles, built the highway system at the behest and expense of the taxpayers. These were early steps toward the authoritarian grab of Obamacare.
The third goal, of course, is to create federal dependents. “Where the sole employer is the state, opposition means death by slow starvation” - Leon Trotsky When the sole provider of health care is the state, the same is true. When the state is handing out the bread you eat (in terms of welfare "entitlements"), opposition also means starvation. A lesser known quote of Trotsky's; “The old principle: who does not work shall not eat, has been replaced with a new one: who does not obey shall not eat.”
The success of implementing Obamacare (regardless of what a disastrous failure it will be if implemented) is of tremendous moment in the history of the U.S. The defenders of Obamacare try to paint it as altruistic measure needed by the increasingly ignorant and unthinking cattle they've created over the past generations, and that the opposition is blowing its negatives ridiculously out of proportion. When its very existence is, perhaps, the greatest threat to the republic since the Confederate War.
