Viva the shutdown! Like Atlas Shrugged in reverse…

From the article:

"One thing it might have noticed, for example, is that it finds itself enacting a curious inversion of Atlas Shrugged. In Atlas Shrugged, you'll recall, the private sector shuts down and the entire US economy collapses. But in the revised Obama version, what happens is that the public sector shuts down and what the US begins to realize is how amazingly well it can survive without the meddling of, say, the looters of the Environmental Protection Agency."

interesting article, but I disagree strongly his advocacy of drunkenness and nudity in national parks. IF the feds are going to take over the park, then such behavior can and should be regulated as much as it would be on any other federal installation. I, for one, don't want to see a bunch of drunken, naked hippies parading around the Library of Congress.
Being naked or drunk does not make one 'closer to nature'. Such ideas promote the concept that Man is not already a part of nature, and as Heinlein once pointed out, Man and his structures are as natural as a beaver and his dam.
