I found this to be more useful in understanding how and what happens when people get offended: "The offense occurs when an action violates a rule that the other person considers inviolable.
That has a cascade effect in the mind, the body, and multiple feedback loops in the nervous, blood, immune, and sensory systems."

Try this on for size. http://www.whywesuffer.com/why-were-q...

My take has always been that the 'Offended' have a problem...maybe low self esteem or more likely, a False sense of Esteem; ie, a super ego which I posit is nothing more than an imitation sub-conscious. If one really had the ability to 'self inspect' which comes with having a connection to the mind, (that which that can view self) could easily and quietly have that discussion with self...that is one's 'inner' voice and the 'voice' of You, is not the enemy.

So, after close examination and having this inner discussion with myself; I guess I do have a problem: I am often offended by people that get offended.

The difference?...I can laugh at it and move on...
