Those Who Don't Fight Evil Fight Statues

The article pertains to someone's insight about the loony left.
"All my life, I have known this rule about people," begins what's-his-name the writer: "those who don't fight the greatest evils will fight lesser evils or make-believe evils."
Make-believe evils must include those statues that have become oh how offensive all in a sudden.
Other article excerpts state~
"--to feel good about yourself, you have to fight against something bad."
"In a nutshell, rather than fighting evil, the left fights those who fight evil."
For an old dino example. do you want a secure border? A secure border to protect you from being overrun by illegal aliens who don't know squat about a melting pot but will treat your front lawn like a squat pot? A secure border to protect you a spike in violent criminal acts? A secure border most especially to protect you from murdering terrorists?
Well, that means you're a racist and an Islamophobe! So shut up and sit down before Antifa comes to beat you up!

Eeek! How utterly horrible! I'm melting! What a world! What a world!~

"The left was AWOL against communism, and it's AWOL against Islamism. But it's in the vanguard of fighting statues." Hi Dino, He forgot AWOL against slavery, genocide and eugenics.

When you mentioned eugenics, something went click and me dino went on a brief satisfactory hunt.
A PC search can be done within two minutes if you can think of the right words to enter.
      To wit, voila!~

“If they must recognize her ‘historical significance,’ place her with busts of Pharaoh, Herod, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Goebbels, Pol Pot and Dr. Mengele,” continued Bishop Jackson to CNSNews. “This would put her in her proper historical context with the infamous and evil figures who committed genocide.”
        She is in evil co.

Don't forget Rachel Carson - she who by damning the use of DDT cursed over 100 million to die.

I remember the whole DDT brouhaha, the soft shelled bald eagle and falcon eggs, etc... and how it spread to a general and unreasonable fear of chemicals, and chemistry in general... (Not complaining, because I make my living mitigating "hazardous materials"... hee hee hee... Better living through chemistry...)

Yet I am also old enough to remember the distinct smell of DDT, and once, on vacation in Mazatlan, I opened a ventilation and utility access door that I thought was a cabinet, and that oh-so-familiar odor hit me like a long lost childhood friend... We also had a SEVERE hornet problem iat our place in Italy, and just happened to find an old pint can of Chlordane, when, mixed with water and hosed onto said agents of evil hovering around our back patio light not only killed them dead but continued to make that wall a "zone of death" for the bastards for at least the next year or 2... to this day, we have NOT had a return of those things, where they used to be pervasive. Better living through chemistry, indeed!

Some people still haunt estate sales, looking for the garden shed stuff that, inevitably, still have 2-4-D, Chlordane, or DDT... No one I know, of course... (Looks skyward, whistling innocently...)

Oh, I'm so shocked! Don't you know its better that millions of parasitic people agonize to die of malaria so that eagles, falcons and hornets may thrive?
Let the Environment Protection Agency continue to protect the environment from the chemicals cranked out to prolong the horror that is humanity.
Excuse me while I go play in the traffic so that I may receive the justice we all deserve for our very undeserved existence.

You keep inspiring me, Dobrien. Upon reading your last reply, I suddenly recalled The Evil Hag snowflakes bemoan for not not being their president praising the Planned Parenthood abortion mill founder.
What I did not know before me dino again went on a very quick search was that the former Secretary of Bloody Benghazi even compared Murdering Margaret to Thomas Jefferson.

"Sajet added, “Her association with the eugenics movement shadowed her achievements in sex education and contraception, making her a figure of controversy, one whose complexities and contradictions mirror her times. There is no ‘moral test’ for people to be accepted into the National Portrait Gallery.”" SO TRUE -- just like Robert E. Lee. He wasn't really a fan of slavery but felt the Feds were disrespecting states' rights, so he led his "homeland" and that fight... but after the War, he reconciled. He changed his opinions and public perception. He encouraged Southerners to reunite and be peaceful.

Funny how "well, people are complicated" can justify SOME horrors but not others. :-/

Destroying statues is no better than book burning. Destroy history so that it can be re-written. If it can be re-written, past events can be used to justify current events. We go from reality, to illusion, to delusion.

That's what ISIS and other crazy Muslim fanatics do when they destroy ancient monumental treasures.
They want a world that reflects nothing else than the warped writings of their blood-thirsty prophet.

When I saw the news clip of the guy plowing his car into the protestors (or "anti-protesters who were just walking down the street...") I walked out of the room in disgust while my wife was walking in. She said, "What is happening there!?" I said, "Americans are assaulting and killing each other over symbols." and continued to walk out.

I had to laugh at one of the useless resources quoted in an article I recently posted...I called it out as bizarre. It stated how 'wonderful' it was when the consciousness of the culture started to question the status quo and 'the time tested truths that has made America great' [my addition], where as I saw it, and most of us here would see it, as a 'De-evolution' of consciousness and a return to our once, bicameral ways.
