An 8 year olds response.

I had dinner with my in-laws the other night. My sister in law was there with her two kids. Her oldest is 8 years old. He was playing a game online and out of the blue said "I can't wait til I am old enough to have my own job and make money". I asked him if I could take half of what he makes so that I could quit working. He replied "NO! Its my money, I made it and I am keeping it". Kids say the darndest things. I don't have kids and I was wondering if anyone else has talked to young folks about things like this?

For the Marxist taking tax money from you is like taking candy from a baby! Thankfully these children were a bit older and understood the unfairness of this. Soon enough, our public indoctrination system will disabuse them of such notions...

I have a 15 year old daughter who got it, and figured it out on her own. When they started to give kids in her class passing grades for not doing the work she was upset. I explained the concept of socialism and how this was a facet of it. She's a hard core capitalist now with a proud Dad :)

I love his response! It's honest and shows an innocent logic.
In my house, that is exactly the sort of question I would pose to my kids. Now my son sends me Ovomit jokes. :-)
