Why Eating Healthy is so Damn Hard (and Arguably Pointless)

You have to watch the video...I could of put this into the humor category but there is a lot of truth to the humor in the video.

Yes, it's sad to admit, but science also...is subject to being a kakistocracy also, especially when it suits the kakistocracy.

This is why, for a long time now, I stopped listening to the lamestream anything...I do my own research and try as I might, employ my BS detector.
Even so, there are still a lot of unanswered questions...the "Science" is clearly unsettled and might never be conclusive...it will, hopefully, evolve before the fun of living is completely gone.

It is sad, but I think most of have been through something like this. You just snuff it up and deal with it.

Yeah, I was always under the impression that there were no "almosts" in math. Silly me. However, I am retired, and I don't have to deal with stuff like that any more. For the most part though, I do miss teaching because I did love it.

Okay, every time you do excellent work, you have a boss who is going to nitpick because he's evidently job scared of the education board or whoever he answers to.
I advise you tell your pupils that there is only one right reality answer when it comes to arithmetic problems. A wrong answer is reality wrong. That's just the way arithmetic reality is.

Good for you but profoundly sad that "Something MUST be wrong"...I've heard that also on occasion.

It was during one of my observations by the principal. I still got an A on my report. He did say later that he had to find something wrong or it would have looked as if he was not doing his job. I guess that no one is perfect. Maybe perfection is only for kids who give the wrong answers.

My personal preferences are the Indonesian (Sumatra Mandheling, Sumatra Aceh Gold), but I have enjoyed the Costa Rica El Conquistador (and others that are not currently in stock from Columbia, Brazil, Central America, and Indonesia.) They give a decent description of each coffee they have available, so you should be able to find some that match your tastes.

Right is right. Wrong is wrong. A is A.
When wrong is almost right, pampered little minds grow up to be snowflakes who need safe zones and coloring books.
Having written that, new thought. Did the kid go crying to the principal that you're being mean to him? Worse, was it his parents?

And the answer is? One of my first graders got an answer like that wrong, and I made the mistake of telling him so. My principal was not pleased. I was told that I needed to say such things as, "Well, you are almost right." and "Try again. You are almost there." Our country's children feel very good about themselves, they just don't know anything.

It is the invention of Al Capp, author of "'Lil Abner." Two of his good-hearted cave dwelling characters brew it up every now and then. Might be just a wee bit stronger than single malt scotch.

I think as with almost anything moderation is the best. Our bodies crave sugar for energy and it is less work because it spends a lot of time converting what we eat into sugar. Too much sugar and it simply stores the excess as fat, which could make us too fat! The body also needs many different nutrients and minerals to help all organs function efficiently. So get what you need, don't overdo it. Learn to cook for taste and enjoyment and enjoy some small excesses when it won't clearly hurt you. It is also important to know that although we are all built basically the same there are some differences between all of us that may make what works for one ridiculously bad for someone else.

Thanks! I have discovered the reason to keep making my 'world's best' cheesecakes with fresh fruit toppings and lots of whip cream and chocolate scrolls. I will tell my vegan daughter this!

Years ago I read that most people die of "Natural Causes", since then I have avoided "Natural" foods.

My wife's Mom lived to be 95.My wife is strong and healthy and takes care of me who is weak and decrepit. She attributes my continuing being alive to her ability to keep me from eating myself to death. Since we are both the same age, I attribute her health to having been dealt a better set of genes. One reads all the time about the guy or gal who is 110 smokes two packs a day, drinks a pint of kikapoo joy-juice everyday, and eats nothing but red meat and never anything green.
