It's time: Eudaimonia

There's a certain gulch user who pops up from time to time, and to be completely blunt, I've had it up to my gills with him.

I am speaking, of course, of Eudaimonia.

I often wonder what kind of a poor impression he gives to people who are new to the site.

This concern is well founded as has been made plain by at least one other gulcher:

**** Eudaimonia has no regard for civil rights :

When McD's came out with that campaign, I would often respond to it, "I'm heavin' it!"
Nothing against their product, I just didn't like the campaign.

Of course. Expecting you to support the idea of equal rights would just be too much...

****Eudaimonia cites, knowingly or not, sources linked to infamous white supremacist David Horowitz - leaving no other option but to conclude he is either: stupid, racist, or both.

And you've used sources which were likely fronts for white supremacist groups, though you didn't realize it.

Wow, I just got back from grocery shopping to find this.
I'm really interested in what these source are which you refer to.

I don't remember what the name of the site was, as it was a while ago, but it was that one page which you linked to accusing the Southern Poverty Law Center of being a hate group. The site never openly revealed itself as such, but the attitude and political stances it advocated just absolutely stunk of white supremacy in nearly every sentence.

That site was discoverthenetworks.com
Discover The Networks is one of many sites founded and run by David Horowitz.
Mr. Horowitz would find your assertion that he fronts for white supremacists to be... amusing.

Just read through a few of the article there, and from that my belief that David Horowitz advocates white supremacy is only strengthened.

Then I suggest you take it up with Mr. Horowitz.
You can contact him either here
http://www.discoverthenetworks.com/conta......
or here
http://www.frontpagemag.com/contact-us/
And, *please* do post your emails with him here.
I've got a lot more popcorn.

If you too, have had enough... it's time - here's your chance to sound off.

I tried but I am what I am, a base and weak creature. But the dark side was too strong and I succumbed to its evil.

As long as Lurch hangs around the White House, ketchup will remain a vegetable. Otherwise, his wife may not be too happy...

He who learns to laugh at himself.... shall never cease to be amused.
Euda, if you don't like the SPLC you must be a racist and a hater and are subject to being sent to a tolerance camp immediately. We will not tolerate intolerance; and there's nothing contradictory about that whatsoever.
This whole group of "un-cooperatives" should be reported so "somebody" can do "something" about all this unchecked aggression.

At least it's not an agent from the USPS... the Unnecessary Signage and Punctuation Squelchers. From their belt canister of combination dog spray and white out, to using blue pencils that have erasers on the wrong side, to those "safari" hats rumored to have razor edges and drop down magnifiers to catch potential over-punctuationizers, they're a scary lot. Add to this, there's a rumor that if they've had a "bad pen day", they might just go Punctual...

Suzanne, you have reached your hyphen quota for the day. Expect a friendly visit from an armed representative of the DOE.

OOH!! That's in violation of the Anti-Halal, Anti-Vegan, Anti-Inedible Prohibition (as specified by Mrs. Dear Leader), not to mention breaking the Governmentally-Approved Substanceless Semi-Indigestible (GASSI) food items act of 2014! The TSA (Tasty Steak Abolitionists) in the DHS (Department of Hungry Americans) must be notified...

Love the Jerky Boys! Hahaha, excellent reference.
But, now, does that mean I get lumped into the "racist, white-supremacist" category with you?? I don't know.... I'm just not sure if I'm offensive enough... maybe I should step in some poo...

your two statements are logically contradictory...if it's about promoting Objectivism then it cannot be a "free-for-all."
btw, this is not an Ayn Rand bible study group, it's about applying reason to the world. Many have seen the movies, but not yet delved into Objectivism...so, turn them off why don't ya

Kittens are easy - just drag a yard of red yarn in front of them. It's the old, lazy cats, that're a challenge.

    Greetings DougJ,
In truth this is a site to promote the movies, but the philosophy is also discussed. Some of us have been here for years and discussed the movies and philosophy ad nauseam and once in a while just want to lighten up and have some fun. Right now we are desperately awaiting new material as the new movie release is almost upon us. We hope our occasional satirical wanderings will encourage others to lighten up and have fun with us. We are not one trick ponies. Philosophy/philosophers need not be dull, do they? Many of us are well versed in Objectivism and will be happy to discuss any aspect of it you desire. We will also from time to time post threads doing just that, but most threads are about current events and the opinions of fellow followers, both novice and experienced. Please feel free to start a thread about Objectivist epistemology, metaphysics, or whatever strikes your fancy. We would like to hear what you have to say.
    Respectfully,
    O.A.
