This is what hacking is really for, and the rest is just fuzzy noise to distract, and yetwe can't figure out what is going on, nor can we get them to focus on it, as the politicos get all wrapped up in a screw each other festival with Russia....

What secrets did Bill Clinton sell to them for a kick back when he was president? Everything is for sale when the Clintons were in power, hacking not even required.

Clinton gave the Chinese missile guidance algorithms after the horrific failure of their biggest space launcher. What he expected to get in return, I'm not sure. Maybe the illegal Chinese money that somehow found its way into his reelection campaign was the attempted payback.

We knew at the time that Clinton facilitated the sale of proprietary wing technology used by major airline jets (and military jets as well). Remember that he presided over the fiasco of the downed surveillance plane China held for months after forcing it down.

Now that would be an interesting investigation, but given the response seen to Hillary's indiscretions, they would never bother, it is so much easier to blame a republican....

I think it is the responsibility of the hackee to protect their secrets and data from hackers. Its always been that way really, even before the age of cyberewarfare.

That is true, but they do not want to spend the money, nor hire the people, nor endure the difficulties, of a properly set up system. "It's too hard".

Hence instead of accepting that Hillary and the dnc had insufficient security, Democrats are wasting millions on attacking Russia. I have to say trump was correct when he said he hoped the Russians could find the 30,000 emails hillary deleted, and when he said the whole Russia collusion thing is a waste of time

Well, it is a waste of time, in regards to it's relevance to things today. The Dems just want something, anything, they can hang him with, they already beat that useless lump of rhino dung Ryan and his cronies today with the Senate vote, so now all they have to do is impeach Trump and they are set.All corrupt, all the time. Trump is correct, it is a sewer, but AR showed that in AS and no one listened, they still vote them back in....

I think you are right, few people listen who are in power. The people who voted for Trump listened, but they didnt see that the president has little power to actually accomplish what they voted for. The country is doomed and will follow the playbook in Atlas Shrugged.

Visit U of M School of Engineering in Ann Arbor Michigan and you will understand how all of this happens, North campus is "Little China." The very liberal campus really doesn't care about national security. Its all about the number of students graduating with degrees. With China supporting the students it a gravy train for U of M.

Well, that is just about business, and we should endorse an open business model, no matter where they come from, but..here's the rub..and college with a connection or govt research contract needs to have physical firewalls (i.e physically disconnected systems isolated from the web), so as to not allow hacking or access, and then restrict any foreign national from access within that fire wall, electronically or physically. That would suffice to protect. But, as you say, we are dealing with the education establishment, and a business/govt world that has allowed this to go on for years and years. Obama should be brought back and anyone associated with breeches, and held for treason, as that is what it is. We will pay for it in the end.

"50 terabytes of data specific to the F-35 joint strike fighter program were stolen."
That would take all day to download over a typical Internet connection. I suspect a lot of effort went into steal the data. What a waste.

It is amazing how the whole system acts like each incident is a first, and so surprising, when they have such a long history of it. It also shows how China has really made it's advances, we pay for it, they steal it. Yep, lets make friends with those guys, they are obviously our kind of crooks...

That's China's MO. They couldn't engineer their way out of a paper bag, but they make the mafia look like common street thugs.

I find that true with most products although I do find individuals companies that appear to have learned from other mistakes. I bought a Kudrone mini drone on Indiegogo for 99.00 and they have been really good at updating and talking about quality. Quite a change.
