A valiant effort, yet, I think, one doomed to failure as the 'establishment' Republicans continue to look to their backsides rather than the good of the country. Oh. they'll vote for cloture as a symbolic vote for the defunding language, allow Harry Reid to strip the requirement from the CR and pass through the Senate on a pure majority vote, thus covering their asses because, yes, they did vote against Obamacare funding. What a bunch of weasels.

If it isn't good enough for them, then it isn't good enough for the rest of us. I really believe it is that simple.

I do not like it, not a bit.
I think that something hides in it

more later? Sure, I'm all rhymed out
couplets are easy, it turns out!
But to write a quatrain clever,
    which is truly my endeavor
I shall have to eat, and sleep
Lest my rambling makes you weep.

Thank-you, Senator Cruz! Hopefully, the Republicans will get a clue it is all or nothing over Obamacare. Get the government out of health care! End this, any way how.
ETA: I find it hilarious that the GOP are sending request for money to support Ted Cruz when every report I have heard today mentions how the Senator is dividing the party over this issue. All Iv’e got to add is : You better be behind him!
I have seen a few government shut-downs in my lifetime. The fact that most younger people can’t name one president that was in office when one occurred should tell you that a government shut-down is barely a shot across the bow and not even worthy of a footnote on a history book page. Bring ATTENTION to the stopping of Obamacare. Make it a reality. Shut the government down if you have to. That’s barely a fight.
