We can only effect the local responses to climate: ie, city heat islands, clearing trees for more farming in area's so large, there is no protection or carbon production to buffer climatary extremes; but we can in no way cause a consistent weather pattern over a long period of time.
In a book called: The Omnivore Dilemma was a chapter about a Farmer that grew his crops between rows of trees which protected the crops in many ways including pest control.

Yes ,not because he is on our side but because he is a voice of reason and he has ethics . If global warming was a great risk to the planet of people I think most would agree solutions should be sought . As you and I know Carl, the Sun and its radiant electromagnetic action in conjuncture with the alignment of the other planets create the climate . Man can and does effect climate to a degree but the star is or should be the focus not co2. I loved that John would not let the manipulator cut him off or push him around . Bravo

Now there is a voice to listen to, He has earned our respect, a true scientist...(now considered ole school), not because he's on our side, (no warming and any climate change not caused by man), But because he values the scientific process and values open discussion.

Have to laugh, he wouldn't give the youngin a word in edgewise...gota love it.

If I remember correctly...only one out of the supposed 97% was actually a "Climate" scientist...the rest were scabs of a different verity.
