This correspondent exemplifies exactly why MSNBC should never be taken as a viable news source. Selective hearing. Baba booey.

I understand that Stern has disavowed the incident. It is unfortunate that such inexperienced people are used by MSNBC probably because they work cheap. The fact that the caller mentioned that he saw the event occur from Kiev which 500 miles away was certainly a tip-off, but poor Ms. Newbie was set up and batted down.

MSNBC must have vetted this guy like they vetted Obama before jumping on his bandwagon. Even today when the facts are obvious they just ignore them. I guess that's why these people get the big bucks, because they don't listen and just don't stray from the party line. This situation is like talking to Bob Beckel or Juan Williams, but they just shut out what they don't want to hear intentionally.

I arrived at the scene just after they pulled the stewardess from the water.

AT THE SCENE they were saying that the pilot went to the Ted Kennedy School of Flying, off the bridge and into the water.

The passengers were dubbed the "Natalie Wood Flying Club."

If you can't find a little something with a potential for levity the grief at a site can be crippling. You absolutely must have an alternate track going in your brain or you will loose it.

Don't forget that Bill Maher was the ONLY person to loose his job after 911. He disputed Bush's assessment that the 911 perpetrators were cowards. "“We have been the cowards, lobbing cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That’s cowardly,” Maher said according to transcripts (video below). “Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, it’s not cowardly,” he concluded."

I agree with the earlier comments concerning Howard Stern. It does beg the question as to the vetting of the "eye witnesses". The MSNBC talking head didn't catch on to the bogus nature of the caller until he point blank insulted her.

Honestly, I have no idea. Outside of AGT I don't follow the man at all. While it wouldn't surprise me, I would think he'd be going out of his way to be a total ass (again) without need for the ratings boost.

Stern, from what I was told, suggested to his live audience to call the network. Am I mistaken? (Also my keyboard is sticking. I’ll try to pay attention better to the letters I’m leaving out in my words.)

Oh, I agree Stern is a pig. I grew up in NY and was acquainted with him for quite some time. By far he is not any idol of mine (though I do appreciate him toned down for America's Got Talent).

However, its the news agencies job to ensure what they bring to the air is legitimate and accurate. It was apparent from the loon who took the air-time to mention Stern that the newscaster wasn't listening. Instead she had specific information she was seeking to get the scoop, thats in no way reporting.

I highly doubt that guy who mentioned Stern had anything to do with him.

I’m going to take a different spin of this AJ.

Howard Sten is a pig. Plain and simple. When a plane crashed into the 14th street bridge many years ago in Washington DC on a frigid cold wintery day, and while they were still trying to get to any survivors and while they were pulling the bodies out of the water, that pig called the airlines and ask how much a one-way ticket to the 14th street bridge was. We kicked Mr. Stern out of Washington DC for that mishap and the good people of New York insulted our grieve and loss of families and friends by opening their arms to Howard.

There was a priest on the bridge who had been the monsignor of the grade school I went to when I was little. Later in my life, he had been promoted to a bishop. He was loved and admired by many. He happen to be driving on that bridge at the time. After a long hospitalization he was sent to a small parish in Maryland to recover. He was kind enough to baptize my daughter while there. I later learned he had complications from his injuries and died.

Howard Stern sticking his nose in a mass casualty situation involving a plane crash once again for humor is beyond disgraceful. He’ll never be anything but a pig to me.

She had her talking point to make. Its obvious that MSNBC did not check their facts before lining up their "witness" for the interview.

Did she not understand what he said? She just kept going as if he said something pertinent. She's a real thinker, that Krystal Ball... (is that really her name??)
