I used to have a coworker who'd off and on say in a matter of fact tone that he saw UFOs all the time. One day I asked him where did he see most of those UFOs. He replied that was when he was out in the woods hunting. So there you have it. Yes-siree bob!
Islamophobic without shame.
Di-VER-si-teeeee..
He said that like some sort of a religious word. That was more important to him than the danger that comes with large groups of Muslims.
I drove on until the car computer cut off the engine so it would not lock up. Lucky me. Only then did I realize I was really screwed.
Relatives came to the rescue. We had to wait two hours for the wrecker to show up so I could give the dude my ignition key.
Today Progressive called to say I'll have to pay $500 for $3,832.96 of damage. Car should be ready June 6, the same day my son is supposed to have an operation for a herniated disk. So D-Day may prove to be problematic.
The City of Hueytown has been fixing a lot of potholes along the stretch where I wrecked.
My son in law said he saw an orange cone at that pothole from hell when he drove back home.
I told him I would have appreciated that cone there earlier.
I'm about to drive my rented car to take a good look at that impact site. It's beside a deli I like anyways.
That's why it is always better to talk about principles. Discuss the principles behind any given ideology and you not only get to the heart of the matter, but then have a true measuring stick for whether against which you can measure someone's actions.
Allosaurus is Latin for different lizard; nevertheless, I'm not the only one like me here in The Gulch.
Have no fear no preaching from here.
Religious fanatics repel me.
I've met some.
In fact, also, many people whom you would call "liberals" or "progressives" know full well the dangers of radical Islam, as well as the dangers of fundamentalist Christianity or orthodox Judaism ... or for that matter Buddhism... I recommend highly Christopher Hitchens's monograph, god is not Great. Hitchens even identified Marxism as a religion. (My review here: http://necessaryfacts.blogspot.com/20... )
As insightful as Christopher Hitchens was, Ayn Rand was more cogent. She explained clearly why the mystics and altruists are a threat to civilization, and why many liberals and conservatives do not understand the nature of that threat.
(And the graphic is a total fake with both images posed for the production.)
