Prime example of revisionist history. This is what they are feeding our kids. The best defense is to ensure that WE notice this crap, show our kids the truth, and call them on it each and every time they try. Shameful

Yet you admit it sounds sinister. Why abbreviate something that's short to begin with? Why remove, "shall not be infringed"...that's a pretty important part, wouldn't you say?

Well, having a state Textbook Commission at all is just begging for the loudest voices and the biggest wallets to choose the ideology and parents just put up with this junk? No, don't answer, I know the answer already.

It's a racket - you have to send your child to "school", and the state defines what a school is, and then they give you crummy books you have to use. grrrr.

Sounds like they need a good old-fashioned hunger strike until-you-give-us honest- textbooks [or copies of the constitution!!]. State Education Nazis hate that sort of thing.

The state textbook commission, and believe me, there have been some battles royal in their sessions.

This is an example of what I was talking about in my "fight the battle for the minds" post earlier today. I tried to reply to it and could only do so through my FarceBook account. hmmph.

Do you, by any chance, know who chooses textbooks in Dallas?
