Why Do People Become Communists, and Why Do They Stick With It?

Communist and particularly Marxist aren't talking about opportunity to succeed but opportunity of outcome which they themselves could not achieve. Most failed to achieve anything of value to others but at their core, loathed having to prove themselves worthy and therefore were often found wanting; and yes, most hard core communist and marxist could afford to be, by inheritance alone if not by the keeping of others that felt sorry for them.
These are the great unwashed and will always fail in the attainment of their utopia because humans are just not the same and never will be...thank goodness, I say.

I think Ayn Rand was not only accurate in her dissertation but was harsher than my commentary here...She lived it.

So true, which is a reason for some form of spirituality, to balance the mind and emotion. Yet the mellenials seem to get focused on what they can scam next, or who...

And loss of control of our own behavior and thoughts...that's what consciousness and the Mind is all about.
Man can not live successfully and honorably by brain alone.

As far as I'm concerned Communism is Fascism in drag. Even the Black Mask Hoodies in current liberal street demonstrations are just that! They are equivalent to Hitlers Brown Shirts. It's guise in disguise and the Progressives are totally blind to it.

That may be entirely true Carl, but here is the problem, I believe. You have instincts, which are delivered with the package, then you have "teaching and understandings" which neeed to be imparted. Control is established over both the methods and the information in those teachings, so you can program your younglings with whatever programs you want, like, selfishness, inward focus, no discipline, emotional decision making, fear of enemies, obeyance to your authority. Sounds like the Progressive Millennial Program to me....We got to focused on ourselves and lost control of the schools in the 70's, and it went downhill from there..

Only because we have not been allowed to be good. We see this trend since the fall of Babylon. The teachings and understandings of our bicameral ancestors was that we have the potential to be better than our Mammalian instincts.

They either flunked history or they paid attention and are evil.

And the Animal Farm law is what always prevails, because there is no "natural" goodness that will emanate from humans. It is always a competition on an individual, familial and tribal level. Look at our politics, it is exactly that. We even have a Chief we regularly have to , uh, replace...

Marxism is simply theft and plunder wrapped up in psychobabble nonsense about "fairness and equality". The idea of collective effort to a goal has never been a long term successful process for one simple reason, people do not percieve their effort at the same level. What one thinks is great work digging a 4 foot trench, another thinks is "pussyness" and digs an 8 foot. Are their efforts equal? Is the value equal? Heinlein killed a lot of the arguments in his discussions in Starship troopers, look up the one about "value" and what justification people have for "fair". As he said, what right to life does a person adrift at sea with no life jacket have? Marxism simply is an easy way to dispose of personal responsibility and transfer it (along with all the power) to the state, which will immediately do what every state has done before: abuse and use it for their own interests. Our history has 250 years of this, and yet we refuse to learn from it. The most successful people were the independents who went out in wilds, and made their own living, and hated any government coming along. Henry Fonda was a perfect character for in in "How the West was Won".

Yep...forced to pay for others while, I'm sure, she suffers in some way...perhaps not being able to take care of herself properly; never mind happiness.

That's the way it is here in Connecticut...got to escape.
    WHERE is John Gult???

The Twentieth Century Motor Company comes to mind. Our Canadian social system is beginning to look that way. My sister who contributes to society has to pay for needed medication while some of her tax money goes to free, clean injection sites and drug antidotes for druggies. The list goes on and on.

Marxism is hilarious. It denies a divine presence while maintaining a future, stateless heaven of equal, peaceful living. It denies consciousness while maintaining a promise to incredible scientific achievement. It promotes altruism in order to achieve fairness. It defines all consciousness as bourgeois and all existence as a natural resource. It's the philosophical stance of a spoiled toddler all dressed up in a sweat stained Che Guevara t-shirt.

Not to mention the pedophilia in order to establish a relationship with older men...each having the others back...I guess they couldn't just grow up and do the right things...young boys were bread for this and everyone thought nothing of it...quite a bizarre meme.

That's truer than you might know. Such compartmentalization blinds scientists when they propose mechanisms of action that violate certain laws they know nothing about--because those laws are outside their specialties.

The state rearing children was practiced quite a lot well before Hitler youth or the Young Communists. The Ottoman Empire took non-Muslim children of conquered populations and brainwashed them to become an elite military force called the Jannisaries. You're right about the Spartans. Their treatment of children was quite brutal, with the newborns that appeared sickly abandoned on a hillside outside of the city to die.

I think they are NOT conscious human beings...somewhere in their heads is a mexican wall! or the great wall of china preventing them making contact with the mind. I call them: Parasitical Humanoids...just a brain in the body...much like the transhumans google and others want to create.
