In August, his boss is shutting down Z Pizza and putting him and 11 co-workers out of work.
It is economically impossible to afford the unaffordable even if doing the impossible is mandated by elite lib know-it-alls.

Wasn't it AR who said (something like) , "You can ignore reality all you want but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality at all."

It is instructive to examine the relationship between demands for increases in the minimum wage and the decline in the value of the dollar. The dollar has been systematically devalued for the last 70 or more years. Politically this is attractive because an economy that depends on deficit spending can borrow and then pay back with cheaper dollars. While this is probably not illegal it is certainly unethical but it is an essential component of Keynesian economics. The real looser is the American people but this is of little concern to the political class.

If there is something more stupid than a Liberal when it comes to basic economics or anything else for that matter, I don't know what it would be.

I have two factories in GJ, CO and gave up looking for employees with a starting wage of 13 bucks an hour, state minimum I think is about 8.
if I had to go to 15 I would also close.

Don't ya just hate it when Reality comes knocking? People try to pretend that those are the gentle taps which precede the wrecking ball that knocks down not only the door, but the house the door is attached to.

A forced increase in wages forces a business to belly up.

Here's a list of everyone surprised by that...

...thank you, I'll be here all week.

Actually a stronger msg now. I wasn't criticizing it being old. At first I thought maybe claiming to be closing was a ploy to get the city to give the business the same small-business exemption its competitors got. Apparently not: "Permanently closed". You can go on Google Maps and see it go from being a parking lot, to a business under apartments, to a closed business.

You'd think in relatively short amount of time that this entitlement mania has paid low skill/no skill emoyees $15/hr that sense take hold. It is not the public or the governments place to dictate wages, even a minimum, and the economic consequence of that stupidity is painfully obvious wherever implemented. Even so, in the news just today is a renewed push for $15/hr. Stupidity breeds stupidity and this government transgression into private business will one day be a case study in economics 101 classes (if the country learns anything).
