I was wondering if anyone else read this. It was a little dry but worth it. Very well researched.

I just went to Jekyll Island as part of my vacation. I am about halfway through The Creature from Jekyll Island. It is highly recommended for all Gulchers. Not only will it confirm what we knew about inflation, there are many interesting history lessons that even the historians here in the Gulch probably don't know. As khalling correctly points out, it is long-winded, but it gives many concrete examples for us to point to when explaining just how pervasive and destructive cronyism is to people.

We think it's long winded because we have already heard a lot of his points before. He wrote it so that the neophyte will have a complete description, and it's a difficult topic given the lifelong propaganda we have all experienced. A better marketing approach would be to offer enough to tantalize, and to get the reader to buy a second book with more details, but Griffin is an educator, not an entertainer.
BTW, I hope you enjoyed the time there, it's a nice place to be from.

I've read it as well. Definitely not easy reading, but well worth it. The book certainly forces you to think about the visible as well as the invisible theft of your money by the government(s).
