Now he states that he doesn't want to get in the middle of this debate, and yet he has just done so. What about concealed carry? He never mentions that.
This is just another reason why I don't go to Starbucks. I buy my coffee, when I don't brew it myself, from a local merchant.

I'm Galting Starbucks! Will you?

Mine was for health reasons. PVC rhythms.
Like my cigars and my pipe. Want to stick around and see my daughter grow up. Miss all of it, esp my pipe and a good cup of coffee in the morning. Good cup of coffee defined as Louisiana chicory with heavy cream and two-3 sugars. Aaaah.

Yes, but he is alienating a large customer base by doing this. There are signs that could be posted saying guns are not permitted on the premises, and can be done on a basis of location. But what about concealed carry then? He only mentions open carry. I think it's thorny.

I guess it would depend on the location of the store. Some places might not be so uncomfortable, say in Wyoming, Montana. But then most Starbucks are in metropolitan areas where the effetes live who are too good to worry about such mundane things.

Glad I didn't participate in their gun appreciation day thing last month. Next...they'll be declaring their stores as gun free zones. (I love how he used the word "complicated" when explaining the gun debate. What a weasel.)

Does he have enough 'pull' to have an armed LEO on watch all the hours they are open? Meanwhile, they are cutting the hours of their employees because of AHCA.

OMG, I watched that a few winters ago and cried through the entire movie. So sad and many come home that way. Volunteered at the USO at Dover Air Base... So many sad families to meet their lost loved ones. Freedom is NOT Free and anyone who doesn't support our troops, doesn't deserve their freedom.

Have you seen "The Lucky One?" If you haven't you would enjoy it :-)

Well, if it's a 'gun-free zone', just say 'shooting gallery' and watch the fun. Betcha he'll want some guns around then.

Blessings on them and their families. And sadness for those who came home the hard way. Just bought movie called 'Taking Chance'. Cried almost all the way through. Kevin Bacon does an excellent job. I think he was about the only 'name' in the film, with one or two character parts I recognized.

He's being nice about but he is anti-gun. I also wonder about the application and interview process for hiring his employees. Does the subject of guns come at any time?

A board member resigned over the stance regarding gay marriage. The CEO said he didn't want people working for him of they held traditional views of marriage, and no other. That's nobody's business first of all. And second, what difference does it make? Do you serve coffee differently as result? BS!!!
