I put "Who is John Galt" on the whiteboard sign outside of one entrance to my retail store. I wanted to see the reaction. Nobody asked me about it. I think I will leave it for a week. I will see how many people ask and if the reaction is positive or negative. I'll report back next week.

I think I'll base it on the reaction. Left wing nut jobs are never shy about verbally attacking someone they disagree with. I'll bitch slap them and move on. Hoping for the inquisitive types that I can recommend the movies and book to. Think I'll bring in my book and movies to have as a loaners if need be.

If somebody asks...how will you react? I think several back flips down an aisle and then some pom poms and an energetic cheer. ya gotta keep their attention!

Maybe use some of McGinnis's moves from kh's Red Eye video post. Try that...film it tho...we want to see how it pans out.

I don't think it means people aren't noticing. For instance, we have a client whose company name incorporates a significant word from an Ayn Rand novel. We did not ask them about it openly. It was acknowledged by us however. I'll bet you an Ayn Rand quote that some have not only noticed the sign but googled "John Galt." it would be fun if they asked you though

Nothing at all so far. I did show it to a customer yesterday. I know she is one of us. I think she may read the book. Maybe I need to be more aggresive?

Thanks Kathy. I hope the feedback is positive but more to the point I hope people notice it in the first place. Should have my t-shirt this week. May have to do both. I have already had 1 customer come in wearing the t-shirt and another with the license plate holder. Good signs!

I love this. My son wears one of his Who is John Galt ? T-shirts in my restaurant all the time. Just this week a customer called me over and asked, didn't your son have a reading problem growing up. I said, yes he did and still does to some extent, he has dyslexia, but he has even read Atlas Shrugged. Well, the customer said, I know, I saw his shirt :) That is a hard book for anyone to read ! So he then says, I have a hard back copy of AS and will give it to him, I don't want it anymore ???? I wasn't sure how to take that, but he is getting rid of all his books, has them on a kindle or something. So, it does spark conversation and an introduction to Atlas Shrugged is the goal :) Will be watching your results with great expectations :)
