Who is John Galt test

I put "Who is John Galt" on the whiteboard sign outside of one entrance to my retail store. I wanted to see the reaction. Nobody asked me about it. I think I will leave it for a week. I will see how many people ask and if the reaction is positive or negative. I'll report back next week.

    It's always fun to share that moment [meeting a friend you don't know yet?]. I was at the dentist's office a few weeks ago and heard someone in the next cubicle saying "....oh, well, who is John Galt? I said "I am John Galt!" and got back "at least someone still reads!"
    I never saw his face.

    NO he didn't but said that he read Atlas Shrugged 20 yrs ago... I personally don't think I would give up a book that has so much information and inspiration as Atlas Shrugged.... Just saying....

    Unfortunately, DE is becoming too anti business, pro parasite, so planning to leave. Think Texas is my future plan, a freer business state. May just find a place to put Akston's Diner.... So funny, there is a seafood place here called Sambo's, my competition :-)

    I bought the 20th Century Motor Corp hat and I always wonder if anyone gets the reference. I've only had one person say anything in the last few months since I got it. I went into a fresh mex kind of place and a guy I went to Elementary with is one of the managers or something and he yelled over everyone, "Nice hat!" I could only assume he got it, because otherwise nobody has commented on it.

    Hey Kathy. do you have an opening for a short order cook? May want to pull a Hoyt Akston. Got experience, esp with breakfast. Worked almost a year 2200-0600 for an outfit called Sambos. Caught the weekend AMs when the drunks started rolling in. Two shifts. One from US and second from Mexico.
