A perfect example of "Fake news". Why? Because this happened June 19, 2016, and either it is a slow news day, withourt enough Trumped up Trump news to fill, or something, but it is being presented as if it just happened.

here is the real report:

Seems odd they would basically repost the story about something that happened 10 months ago! I do agree: fake news. Not that his death wasn't tragic, but it did not happen in the last month or so! Why report on a death that happened almost a year ago, while not actually adding more information to the story?? Like the true cause of the death (like the report on the vehicle that was on the recall list...) Must be slow news day! I live in Britain, so it's all "Brexit is evil" all the time! (I am American.) So no slow news day here, unless you count the funny story about Jeremy corbyn yelling at reporter for telling him Labour is losing influence!

I hope Anton is resting in peace! I do enjoy the new Star Trek movies. He's no Walter, but I liked his Chekov!

Oh, there is as much angst in the Trek world as there is for Brexit. Between CBS/Axanar and the new JJ Trek, there is no lack of something to hate....

I will admit I was rather irked with that whole "salute" to Tekai... I loved that Takai came out and said that wasn't who SULU was!! I loved George for that! But I didn't really agree with that whole angle... at least Spock and Uhura had a couple hints in TOS, but it was the 60s so nothing could really come of that.... It's like the argument of Voyager suck/awesome or DS9 suck/awesome. There's always something to bitch about! ;)

I appreciate that the reboot was more interpretation on the characters and the world... I don't expect them to be identical but I do expect them to hold on to the true characteristics of the characters! I try to imagine if Leonard Nimoy or William Shatner would be like in those situations and overall I'm happy.

As for news: Brexit is ruining the Global elitists plan of their own version of the Federation! And that, I like! While I love Star Trek and The Star Trek Universe, I don't believe that universe could come to pass in that sort of Globalist Push. Then again, You don't get to see much outside of the direct federation most times.

Your comments about Brexit seem aligned to what Paul Hellyer (ex Defense Minister of Canada) is saying. Here is his video:

          https://youtu.be/IWfKfuuj6Jo

He also says that he had seen lots of evidence classified so high that Presidents don't get to see it, and commented Bill Clinton told a reporter "There are 2 governments, one within the other, and I don't control it". So, while people like to get derailed by claims of "conspiracy theory" maybe looking at just the facts would lead one to think "maybe there is something to it'?
