Repeal Of Obamacare Died From Sneaky Snakebite

The sneaky snake has a name: Paul Ryan. The old dino has been entertaining the theory that the failure to repeal Obamacare is precisely what GOP House Speaker hoped to happen--even though he trotted out his own replacement, which came to be called Obamacare Lite.
I wonder if Ryan got a discrete call from O this weekend to again hear, "Thank you for making government work."
I recall Lou Dobbs comparing Paul Ryan to the same kind of snake Trump speaks of in the primary link (I latched on three more).
Trump evidently knows what a snake is but trusted Ryan to push his promised repeal of Obamacare through.
Now Trump wants to put the repeal on the back-burner and push for lowering taxes. Whoa, wait! I thought I heard Trump say that lowering taxes first hinged on repealing Obamacare.
Oh, well, what do I know? The Son Of Boehner (SOB) knows way more about that kinda stuff than I ever could.

Rand Paul has a better Idea but the real problem that he and others are trying to solve comes from government involvement in Health care and Insurance and taxation and Social welfare. That is the root of the problem. Put all of it back into the competitive market and private charity.

Yes, competitive free trade lowers costs for some funny reason a control freak RINO prefers to ignore.
(I replaced "libtard" with RINO, since such unpatriotic power-hungry pinheads is the bigger problem concerning the subject of this thread).

The question is whether or not it is competitive free trade or if the government of the trading partner is subsidizing the goods so as to make them win in a competitive market.

One can argue as Milton Friedman has said that it is actually a subsidy of consumers. And it certainly does that. The problem comes when the consumers are squeezed out of the labor market, or forced into lower paid markets. This can offset the subsidy and more. It only works if there is other comparable work available.

The GOP has been rotten at the core since it was founded in the 1850's. It is not the solution; it's part of the problem.

It's not everybody in the GOP, but the fetid swamp that needs to be drained does not exclusively belong to the Jackass Party.

Both parties have a lot to answer for....well, maybe the Democrats more so, but both parties are home to the elites, ruling class, the establishment...call them what you will. As long as they can live behind brick walls with hired protection, send their children to private schools, and go to the same country clubs, they don't care what happens to the rest of us. As long as they can make the laws that they don't have to live by, they are pleased with themselves.

ALL of them looting us in Washington D.C. are "birds of a feather." THEY as a group have ABSOLUTELY no interest in giving up the obamacare program. WE were told that it would be repealed for 7 years so you would think they would have at some point developed a new (?) insurance plan. Of course that would have meant work of some sort. NOT a chance.

I've repeatedly called those elites "the more than equal elite betters," the first half of that inspired by Animal Farm and the rest by the virtual aristocracy George Orwell's pigs so splendidly dwell in. I know that farm is supposed to be a communist commune but what the heck?
The good Republicans who care more about this country than themselves are those patriots among that ruling class who are now pushing for term limits.
I'm not holding my breath for such a miracle to happen, though.

No, I'm not either. But I have to give some of the Conservatives credit for hanging tough. Maybe they actually gave a hard look at the last election

I wanted REPEAL not REPEAL/REPLACE. Why would we think the repubs could craft another government controlled health care system better than Obamacare ? Healthcare needs to be private and the people who expect free health care are just going to have to pay for it.

Couldn't agree more...get the government out of health care and see costs go down, and we'd have better care. However, after seventy-five plus years of socialism, the moochers think that they are "entitled" to whatever the government has to offer. I don't know if we can ever get the government out of our lives.

Well, they are in hot water now. Trump won on draining the swamp, and they have shown they ARE a big part of the swamp !! Trump can only slow things down, not make major changes in the march to socialism. The repubs better get on board or they will lose their slim majority in the congress and nothing can happen after that. At least Trump can veto really bad stuff, which is better than we had with Obama, or would have had with Hildebeast.

I'd love to see some vetoes of statist bills. and reversal of open ended bureaucratic power. That is what neither the dems nor the GOP have done persistently in the past 30 years.

If Trump can expose that a lesser evil is not acceptable to more than half the voters then that will be progress.

thats what I voted him in to do. I think that if its achievable by executive order, it will happen, BUT if it requires congressional approvals, it wont except perhaps if only 51 votes are required to pass it.

I would like to see somebody in Washington act like a grownup and tell the people that it isn't the governments job to provide everything for everybody. We are already 20 TRILLION in debt. It is time for government to cut back and get out of everybody's business.

the people have been brainwashed, particularly the immigrants from socialist countries like in south america, into thinking that the government here can just "give" them stuff off the money tree. Its sad, but our politicians simply pander to them to get votes. Its too late for USA.

Trump has got to realize that when it comes to anyone in congress before he became President is an enemy. He is, for the most part, alone. He needs to find a tough insider as his #1 advisor who knows who the bad guys who are. Who are really Brutus (like Priebus) and deal with them. A guy like Baker was for example.

Political parties in general are the problem. George Washington warned us not to allow them

the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

"...It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another."

    http://02f8c87.netsolhost.com/WordPre...

Every single thing he warned against has come true. Even to the government system being influenced for 60 years by the will and policy of the Communists.

Our Founding Fathers possessed incredible wisdom they were more than willing to share.
Unfortunately. the popular vote thinks "progressive" (psst, socialist control freak fascists) globalists like the Evil Hag and Al Gore are candy mountain ice cream and lollipops.

The answer for the tax code is to repeal the 16th amendment eliminate all taxes but a consumption tax (Excise tax on a transaction) with revenue going to the state by zip code and the State funding the towns from the bottom up with the Federal government funded last via a budget. Exactly as the Constitution specifies.

    Nothing less will work.

When Trump first coined the phrase, "Drain The Swamp" I was all in favor of it but I turned to my wife and said "He better bring Roto-Rooter with him. The swamp is overloaded with snakes, alligators, frogs, turtles and Piranha's big and small and democrat and republican. The drain will be clogged all the time. The dems walk in lock step as a party while the republicans line up in a circular firing squad and can't agree among themselves on anything. With democrats, liberals, the MSM and even the republican party against him DJT is going to need all of "We The People" to achieve the goals we all elected him to reach.

Ryan IS a snake. I never liked him since he gave Obama a big budget and then he refused to endorse Trump for so long. Judge Jeanine was right to call for him to step down. He loves Power, and thats what the swamp is made of

I blame Ryan for the Bait and Switch he did, but he did not do it alone. Getting Trump to go into it, you know that other Wisconsin boy, COS Reince Priebus had to whispering in Trump's ear to get him to bite into it. So, Speaker Ryan and COS Priebus, where is the 2015 repeal plan that you promised would be brought back up? Are you afraid that We, The People want to take power from the District of Corruption? This stinks to Holy Establishment tactics and the ringleaders are Ryan and Priebus.

Nice going allosaur, seems you have touched a bit of a nerve with this discussion!
Getting rid of all the RINOs and the others who could not hold a job in the private sector would be my first choice. Who or what we replace them with is the $64,000 question. Returning the control to the dems is simply out of the question yet one needs to be a certain kind of idiot to even want to swim in this swamp. Seems to me they named these differing factions correctly, Party, and it is on our dimes.

The Freedom Caucus would not tolerate RINOcare. They said that they wanted to spend the time to get the bill right. They will be back, hopefully with the 2015 Repeal Bill that passed 60 times. Yes, 60 times. But, then the cowardly Republicans can safely vote for it because they KNEW Obama was going to veto it.

We need a new party RIGHT NOW! We cannot wait any longer. The GOP is dead. It committed suicide! Don't waste anymore time on them.

+1 for your indeed righteous passion; but as a fan of a certain successful TV series, I feel moved to advise that The Walking Dead are very dangerous.
The fictional fact that one can only kill a "walker" by destroying its ravenous evil brain strikes me as RINO metaphorical.
