Excellent question. I actually said to the TV this week, Shepard, go to CNN! I am sick of him. And, to think they fired E D Hill when she asked on air if the Barrack-Michelle fist bump was a Islamic move. Why would you ask thabout a guy who said he would always tatnd with Islam!I have actually turned FOX off several days because they seemed anti-Trump.
There is something smarmy or oily about him. At first he seems OK and then you realize that you've been suckered in. but then you realize that while he was supposed to be one of the few journalists on fox, he was actually just another commentator in disguise.
I immediately formulated a dislike for SS when he was whining on New Orleans when Katrina hit. I guess snowflakes don't realize the force of hurricanes.
Anybody watch Red Eye regularly? It went way down hill when Gutfeld went to his weekend show leaving the affable but stupid Tom Shillue as host. Then Joanne Nosuchinsky left, and the only wit comes from a few clever guests and TV's Andy Levy. Levy co-founded the Columbia Federalist school paper with Neil Gorsuch, the current Supreme Court nominee.
I have frequent discussions with a friend about whether Williams is just playing the role of a token libtard or if he actually is as foolish as he portrays. We have no doubts that Bob Beckel is at least as moronic as he appears.
I will throw in a good word for Tucker. He often invites sub-rational loons to present their idiocy and demonstrate the absurdity of their notions. He's also quick and prepared to argue with politicians who speak foolishly. Somehow, he manages to always keep very calm. In a similar position, I'd take a baseball bat to some of his "guests" and offer self-defense of civilization at my bludgeoning incidents trial.
Fox seems to feed now on the battle between trump and the liberals. They are all over the map (except for Hannity, who is soundly for Trump). Fortunately Megyn Kelly is gone, O'Reilly is sometimes good and sometimes bad, Tucker Carlson is like the Jerry Springer of political discussions. I like Judge Jeanine actually.
Casebier, As long as the anti-Trumpers, Juan Williams, Bob Beckel, Geraldo Rivera, and Chris Wallace keep their Fox jobs..... Pretty Boy, Deep Throat, Shep Smith's career path is secure.
Strangely, it bothers me not in the least... maybe because I don't follow ANY of the infotainment stations as if they were sitcoms or as if I were hypnotized to be beholden to them for my essence of being. Who their personalities are or aren't - doesn't mean jack squat to me, sorry...
My usual TV diet is a half hour (give or take) of Bloomberg in the early morning, and maybe 20 minutes in the evening watching the holy sepulcher of Media Blather (NBC/CBS/FOX/PBS/ABC) to get a fast briefing on the day's events, and move on to something productive.
Somehow I ended up recording an episode of both "Faux and Fools" and "the Morning Blow" a couple weeks ago... I watched all of maybe 10 minutes of either and (after projectile vomiting) realized, "This is why the country and world are falling apart - people actually WATCH this nonsensical propaganda drivel? Yeech!!".
I don't see him leaving. though it would not break my heart if he did. Smith comes on at a good odd time in the afternoon to help Fox to project their "fair and balanced" toot-tooting bit.
He'll last so long as he serves the agenda of the leaders of Fox, and does not bring embarrassment or disrepute to them. And it will take a lot of disrepute to make them cut Shep loose.
Just get your news here and in alternative sources on the net ;^) The people on mainstream tv are entertainers and pro-statist propagandists. The only difference between the news and cop shows is the level of deception.
At least !!!!!!!!!! And his brother played Ellis Wyatt in AS1....hmmm? BT
I just turn the tube off. He is repulsive to me in every sense I can imagine - always has been.
