Nice, personal responsibility is sometime thrust upon you, when you really didin't want to be accountable, but put on a show to look big and bad....

Maybe he should move to some other country that he deems is "better". I would pay for the ticket.

    Love it!!!

Maybe he can play in a Canadian League. No need for the US anthem there!

What Kaepernick never understood was that when you work in entertainment (which is what professional sports are, BTW), you only kill your own job when you get involved in politics. He should have learned from the Dixey Chicks.

Of course the other part of that was that he was too busy kneeling for the anthem to actually play football. He had a terrible season...

He can't get a job because he was insubordinate. No team owner wants an insubordinate player. Besides, he's off his game. The combination is a deal-killer.

Anyone who does not believe in prayers need only look at the dreadful season the 49ers had after dick head made his stand and took a knee. We cancelled the NFL Sunday ticket because the NFL allowed this jerk to infect America's game.

CG, I don't follow or watch sports, but this one was quite an item a few months ago. I do not see it as standing up for your cause, if you believe in something along his supposed lines, you do more than just show them how big and bad you are by doing something you know will piss off a whole bunch of the people who pay your ticket. I have not seen him out in public stating his reasons and selling his ability to do something better. I am presenting this for discussion more because he is "shocked" that no one wants to employ him, after he proved he could piss off a large group of the people your employer needs. Imagine being a car salesman with a Trumps Sucks Tshirt, and they fire you for alienating your customers, there is nothing wrong with that, and you deserve no sympathy.

Exactly. I do not watch any mainstream media anymore, even Fox has lost their appeal as they ignore some of the less honest things their Republicrats are doing, as long as it is THEIR Republicrats.

Okay, I see what you're getting at.
I recall supervisors in the Alabama DOC writing up correction officers for "being inattentive" instead of "being asleep" while on duty.
Our union representative repeatedly argued that the wording "being inattentive" was no where to be found in our SOP rules and regulations.

We can only hope. I don't think that Hollywood knows it yet, but it's dying. You can't call half of your audience right wing idiots and expect that they will continue to support you. I haven't been inside a movie theater for months, and I don't intend to anytime soon. Well, maybe, if an Ayn Rand movie would come out.

I just read the law and it is vague enough to allow such a politically biased prosecution. These days it could be politically misapplied far too easily. Once upon a time that sort of garbage was used only on blacks (e.g., Jim Crow laws preventing blacks from having guns for personal defense) or chinese (during the 19th century) or Japanese (WW2) but today anyone is fair game for the unethical, politically biased application of vague legislation.

With any luck, some of our leftist movie and TV stars will also lose their popularity and financial clout as they continue to alienate their audiences.

Having read what you wrote, that strikes me as a bit of a stretch. The word "disrespect" or some synonym thereof is not included.
Also, I some time ago recall some judge ruling that burning the flag was freedom of speech,
Lib judges these days view the Constitution and laws that descend down from it as suggestions or as so much rattle clap.

Colin is lucky he wasn't made an example via prosecution under 18 U.S. Code § 700 - Desecration of the flag of the United States; penalties

Whoever knowingly mutilates, defaces, physically defiles, burns, maintains on the floor or ground, or tramples upon any flag of the United States shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.

Colin's act could be described as defiling the flag under the law.
(not that I agree with the law or the penalty;^)

I haven't followed it, but I admire people who stand up for unpopular ideas. The article says he's learning the hard way that many people hate him, but maybe he was never seeking their love, money, respect, approval, or whatever. If he wanted to say what's popular with the establishment in his industry, he probably would have gone along with whatever people around him said/did.

I read somewhere two or three weeks ago that Colin said he won't kneel any more if someone would please hire him.
The word "hypocrite" came to mind.
Popping into my old dino head right now is the former Traitor-In Chief saying "If I had a son, he would look like me before I decided it would be more politically prudent to put a hand over my heart during the National Anthem." Naw, Obummer didn't really say that. He did this, though~

Born to a destitute white woman and a black father who deserted his wife and child. Adopted by a white couple who raised him as their own. (per wikipedia)
Oh yes, I can see why he hates white people. (sarcasm)
He's definitely a hero for all races to admire. (sarcasm)
    Just rewards.
