Is Hostess going Galt? The quote of CEO Gregory F. Rayburn might indicate that.
"We deeply regret this decision, but we have repeatedly explained that we will close facilities that are no longer able to produce and deliver products because of a work stoppage — and that we will close the entire company if widespread strikes cripple our business," Hostess Brands CEO Gregory F. Rayburn said.

I really did not need another excuse to eat Twinkies... but if it'll help the producers to undermine the moochers... well, it's a sacrifice I'll just have to make.

Liberals shouldn't complain about Hostess closing up shop. Twinkies and Cupcakes are very, very bad, according to liberals, so they should be happy.

Has Michael Moore showed up in town with his camera crew yet?

I can just see him interviewing those former employees while holding a twinkie in one hand and some other confection in the other -- as depicted in his performance in Team America.

I think its great. I live in Cincinnati where one of the plants closed and the employees were classic..........."where did our jobs go? What is wrong with those people?" (owners). They believe that their jobs just happen and will always be there. Hilarious.

Not going Galt. It's just business.

People have been taking their money out and shutting down their businesses because of intransigent unions for decades. I remember a sawmill owner in Oregon that shut down his entire company town after his mill unionized. Liberals were livid...

I am surprised the union didn't comment. I mean really if only Hostess had paid there employees more than they were worth they could have kept the doors open but done the "economic" thing by letting all those workers keep their jobs. (Extreme sarcasm btw)

I like that they said service to the public wouldn't be different. I am sure they would have liked to have kept those bakeries open, but they recognized they could remain equally profitable by dumping the money on truck drivers versus the unionized bakers.
