I am in the IT Industry, but I have a degree in Physics. I am not an Objectivist, but then no character in an Ayn Rand novel was either.

  To be called an Objectivist, these requirements must be met: (a) a formal systematized philosophy called Objectivism must exist, and (b) a person who understands the philosophy and accepts it then says he is an Objectivist. In no Ayn Rand novel is either condition met.
