I was not aware of this. I thought we were winding things down in Afghanistan. Tragic.

    Ah, I was fooled... CNS (conservative news service). I though it was CNN.

    It is not as though President Obama were in the field giving orders. He is not sitting on a big chest of bullets that he will not release. The US and NATO troops are only more directly engaged. President Obama ramped up President Bush's war to fight the Taliban friends of President Reagan.

    Better not to get involved at all ...

    Well, as I have said often "he" (President Obama) is really unimportant in this. Unlike Kennedy or Johnson or Reagan and more like Carter or Clinton, Presiden Obama came to the White House with no power base of his own. He just speaks for others.

    So it is Bush's fault! He promised to get us out in 2008 . The casualty numbers tell the story. He is following the Bush Cheney strategy. He must agree that this is what needs to be done. Needs to explain it more to the American people.
