First, great Bill the Cat reference (if that's what it was).

Second, I thought the same thing as the author of that article thought; no way can that be a serious comment. But then I watched the conversation, and realized it was a serious comment.

And the media wonder why Trump has been on offense from day one...

Thanks for sharing what must have been an unintentional admission.

Trump just responds in the Trump way, he will deliver 4 times the amount of crap stuff they do and overwhelm them. The problem is 95% of the sheeple cannot stand the stress, and will turn on him if he is not careful.

The corrupt media is really good at just plain hushing up about inconvenient facts.
I can just hear them whisper~
"Shush now. Time, time, time is on our side. Yes, it is."

That's why they are called sheeple. And why are they sheeple? Because most of humanity is still in the tribalist mindset of obediently following the strong leader. Even the most independent-minded huddle themselves together into their respective belief systems--yes, even the Objectivists. It's Darwinian survival of ideas, tied to people's emotions. And the controllers are those who make it to the top of the dung heap.

I am not thinking that was negatively meant, but an observation based on herd behavior. There are some Objectivists I have run into who apparently have become so inured in the philosophy, they look at everything through that lens. That is ok, but can handicap anyone as a single viewpoint is always at a disadvantage to multiple ones, and the ability to say "uh, maybe I am wrong?".

Agree. Once one correctly understands the principles, which can take a long time, then the application of those principles requires thorough investigation, "chewing", and, more importantly, the commitment to discovering errors in one's thinking, understanding, then beliefs.........it is an arduous, lifetime journey of commitment, but oh so very, very worth it. This is what Walter Lippmann wrote about. He and Edward Bernese help get Wilson out of hot water after the election 1916 he won on promising to keep us out of the European crisis. Immediately after Lippmann and Bernese started the propaganda to get us into the WWI conflict. The Lippmann award for journalism was created in his memory. He said, we will print what the public NEEDS as they aren't capable of figuring out what they need to know,. hahahah Talk about control., Bernese specialized in marketing propaganda. He proposed ads with the tobacco companies to get women to smoke in the 1920's. Also with the pork industry to say it is good to have bacon with your eggs. Before that people didn't do bacon with their breakfast.
A copy of Bernese books were found in the bunker of Joseph Goebbels as they followed the teachings to do what they did to Germany and the Jews. Now, we have this in today. It isn't dead by a long shot. Stay vigilant and inform your friends and family. The truth is out there, just is a lot of it is hid from us.,.

Even George Orwell would be shocked by this accidental and revealing candor. When 80 to 90 percent of the MSM are openly liberal-progressive it should be unreasonable to expect objectivity. They are not necessarily dishonest but they are true believers. This fact alone renders them irrelevant.

That wouldn't be the first time she's done that. I believe it was her, After the election said something like, "they (media) failed to convince people not to vote for Trump."

I think this talking head said exactly what she believes! Scarey. This same week a reporter for teh local paper said we should all be glad for journalist and that they give us freedom. After that she went on to link Trump with Hitler. I wrote a letter to the editor, which they refuse to print, which asks why she never mentions the person most closely connected to Hitler is Soros, who funded the Dems and Black Lives Matter. I told her with no research on their part, they are more likely to lead us away from freedom. We have to never forget that the average IQ of a journalist according to several sources, is 105, although one put it at 95. They have absolutely no critical thinking skills and are too lazy to do their own research. I can say that, as I worked as a journalist for a while, and soon saw it was neither objective nor truthful.

Funny, the editor is just as much a part of the Church of Journalism as the reporter, and you obviously were being impious....

They now have no editor at the paper. Theformerl editor, for whom I once worked, had no degree, and was arrested for sex in a public park with gays, and fired. The second in command, who says she spent college so high she does not remember it, has been demoted to reporter status. Who knows who reviews letters, but anyone on staff seems to be allowed to do editorials now. I quit some years ago, after the then editor raised his fists to me, and failed to address an in-office drug issue threatening meeting deadlines! They were liberal, now they are all women and way liberal.

Ha! That is funny, except probably sad to watch. But sounds like a scene from AS that could have been tossed in as a side story " The paper that drugs"..probably a lot closer to the truth in a lot of news media than most people would want to know...

Oh, it was indeed. I always thought it would be a perfect sitcom. The editor actually resembled Richard Dreyfus in "What About Bob", just as nutty. He would come out into the workroom and say, "I know you all think I have AIDS", then scurry back into his office. He once brought a "boyfriend" in at noon who had colorful silks on, like a jockey, and they left holding hand like school girls. There was a lesbian local life woman, who hated men. A true southern gentleman, who could not take it and left. A gay guy with a wife, boyfriend, and the editor had a crush on him and sent him flowers in the newsroom. He and the photographer did drugs at work. Now, how could any real news or true reporting come out of that situation!. We had a Jewish son of a rabbi first time reporter who I found one day with his head down on his desk, saying, "I have to get the hell out of here," after the editor tried to hit on him! He did. And that is the state of journalism today!
