I'm not surprised he'd do such a thing. I find the whole deal about what the U.S. (Obama Admin) is going to do over the Syrian Chem Weapons thing a joke: back in the old days, when the WW II generation was in charge of things, they absolutely knew the difference between right and wrong, good and evil. (Christian values)

But the idea that this current admin, both elected and unelected have a reality-based, firm grasp of what is right and what is wrong is a joke. They have been so ingrained (indoctrinated) with Marxism that they can't see anything beyond targeting Americans and producers. Marxism fails to instruct followers on what to do about external threats. This is why the Syrian thing is a joke to me.

Ultimately, who benefits from potential missile strikes? Not the U.S., but Al-Qaeda. And please, no "boots on the ground" ~ just more American lives to be lost...more targets of opportunity for the islamists.

If a missile strike does happen, as long as Masyaf is left out of it, that's fine. Why Masyaf (Mass A Eff)? Well, if you play or ever played Assassins Creed, you'll know why: hopefully, one day, a potential tourist/AC fan pilgrimage site. :) Just my .02.

I'm so glad he takes his job seriously. What a lOser. What a clown. He is a total embarrassment.

(I'm little to young for Eisenhower. I do, unfortunately remember Carter, the Iranian hostage crisis, and the NY gas shortages)

I knew that Eisenhower was President, a 4 star general and that he was an avid golfer. But, I know he never played golf the day he announced it was eminent that he was going to bomb another country.

"Dwight David Eisenhower got in his share of golf, and then some. A study of the 34th president's daily itinerary during his eight years in office from 1953-'61 turns up a staggering 1,000-plus days of golf, including almost 800 rounds everywhere from Augusta National to Cypress Point to Turnberry and beyond.
"Not that playing 100 rounds a year was a bad thing. But no president before or since played so avidly, and we're now in an age where there's intense pressure on politicians to avoid being perceived as slackers."

    And see also:
"The initiative came straight from the Oval Office and was code-named “Operation Rocky Mountains.” It called for an elite unit to be mobilized and flown to Denver on a tightly coordinated schedule. Once safely on the ground, the group would be whisked to a staging area, where members would share rations and receive final orders. The next morning they would rendezvous with their commander and attack their objective in groups of four.

"A covert military operation? You got the first part right. But for this September 1953 exercise, participants traveled via corporate aircraft rather than U.S. Air Force jet. Ground transportation was in Chrysler-provided limousines, not Army jeeps. The group encamped in the prestigious Brown Derby Hotel. Meals included prime steaks and vintage liquors rather than field rations. The maneuver itself was an all-out assault on Cherry Hills Country Club by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and his “Golf Gang.”

"Among Eisenhower’s critics and the media, they were referred to as “Ike’s Millionaires,” but to Ike they were simply “the gang.” These were wealthy and powerful men, and all but one of the seven belonged to Augusta National Golf Club."

You resort to this, to defend your confessed choice to run the Free World?

It would be refreshing to see any solid info that says Obama needs to ramp up the Middle Eastern crisis....

P.S. I don't see what this has to do with Obama leaving the "Syrian Crises-I made another decision to not bomb today, but discuss with Congress instead" announcement and heading to the golf course with Joe Biden. This post was made under entertainment...Obama's.

I was very young and not slightly involved with politics during the Eisenhower presidency. I remember my Dad had an"I like Ike" button. I learned much later that he played golf...all over. I appreciate the interesting facts you site about his multi-faceted participation in the game. And...I will check the several sources you offered. Sounds like an investigation I might enjoy.
