We Californians give a big thanks to the grass root organizations who pulled this upset off. California geographically votes overwhelmingly conservative. Two large populations centers in our state, LA and the Bay Area, are heavily weighted by illegals and welfare families thus swinging the vote away from the farm and ranching communities that produce the largest percentage of income in the state. We will be following Colorado's lead with or without the GOP help or lack of. IT's time for Americans to move away from the two main parties as they no longer represent America or the Constitution
What I love is the "let's move past this..." stuff. If they'd won, they would be shouting it from the rooftops and rubbing our noses in it until the next "regularly scheduled election". And then going farther, because they had learned that they could get away from it. whee! And it sends a lovely message to Bloomberg, who personally contributed generously to the losing side.
From the article: "It is not time, for either side, to ponder more ways to use the recall process to undermine our system of regular, democratic elections."
I'm the last to argue on behalf of the Catholic church, since I don't recall the last time I have been in one. It was probably when I was an altar boy, and going to a Catholic school....
The post we parted on was my recollection of the final chapters of Alive!, where the survivors reveal their struggles with their faith, and what they did. I was just pointing this out....
You are welcome to come back anytime, so are all the others reading this post. We R. Catholics all struggle with our faith, and none of us are perfect. Come on home.
We do have a complete set of very old Paul Revere copper cookware hanging for decoration, and never used. I am tempted to use them though, since there isn't anyone that I know that would appreciate them. My guess is that they would cook really nicely!
And she does. lol I wonder how long she's really had her set...I can remember her having them as far back as I can recall.... many meals prepared with her beloved "Revere Ware" pans. That's for sure.
Object: You are there to represent the will of your constituency. If you didn't know what it was, you should have found out. Loyalty to the national party is nice but when it goes counter to your constituents' will, better look to the folks that took you to the dance.
Yes! The jury box is supposed to be the place in which you vote your conscience. The Senate is where you do what your employers [the people in your district, who sent you there] tell you to do.
I hope a lesson was learned. Voting your conscience without regard for the rights of your constituency (all of them) is asking to be removed from office. You can't commit tyranny of the majority or minority to suit your own desires in contradiction with the rights spelled out in the constitution many of the people still hold dear.
whee!

They managed to get this arse backwards....
Hey! Are you talkin' to me?
Aren't you the beneficiary of my cast iron? ;-)

Thanks for the invite...I'll think about it.
Did I mention that I have a wonderful cast iron wok?
I actually use mine to deep fry.

If your mom swears by them, I will probably start using mine!
