So, while Westinghouse figures prominently in Fukishima, it seems the real story is almost an Ayn Rand one: A guy starts by getting one company, and then buying and bidding for more bankrupt ones, gets a name in a business (nuclear) and then Westinghouse (owned by Toshiba) falls in with them, and they now have fallen into the great black hole of nuclear plant construction, then we add the regulation nightmare the Feds have, toss in a bunch of taxpayer funded guarantees and cost controls, and we have...a mess...
