So much for freedom. If you provide a service, you have to provide it to any one the State deems you have to. So, instead of being able to market to whoever you wish, you market to whoever the state decides you will. Just like they believe you have to let ALL the terrorists in, as discriminating against terrorist is just not enlightened thinking. What ever happened to the power of the purse? If enough gay people didn't get flowers, and it was really an issue, then florists who didn't sell to them would be out of business. Then there would be a market for gay flower people. I bet they now have at least a dozen "flower enforcement agents" in Washington. Stupid state.....

    Belongs with CA, NY, MA, western OR, MN, HI, and most large metropolitan areas. Don't wait for them to secede, banish them.

          I would be all for banishing them, in fact, maybe a whole new country is in order for all the looter, moochers and Progressives. Have their own country that takes everything from everybody and redistributes the wealth. Of course, there have been many predecessors to them already (like Russia, China, Vietnam) and those that did not come to some form of capitalism, failed. In the process it always illustrated that the base value of such societies is disguised greed masquerading as "concern, or fairness".

    I don't get it from a theoretical or practical standpoint. What really stands out is the practical. I would feel odd going into a place that I know openly discriminates. I certainly would feel odd doing business with them. So I cannot understand the scenario where I would want to make to work with me. I think their bigotry is disgusting, and they probably don't care for me or most anyone in my network. That's true for a lot of people. There isn't enough time in life to do business with everyone who I would get along with. So I don't understand why I'd want to work with people who I don't like.

    It might make a little more sense if they were talking about bigotry in hiring, but this is bigotry on accepting business. I really don't get it.

      Exactly! The root of the whole issue is it is NOT an issue. No one should be forced to produce anything for anyone. It is a mutually profitable agreement between 2 parties that one produces in exchange for some value. The "we will force you to produce" goes against all the things I would think an Objectivist would believe in.
