I wasn't a big fan of Rubio during the Presidential Primaries, but this is a dearly needed speech.

Rubio champions "mutual respect", but "mutual" is as much a key word as "respect". Most political leaders on the left have repeatedly demonstrated that they have no respect for anyone who disagrees with their views and policies. Unless their mindset changes, the rest of us are under no obligation to grant them any respect at all. It will not be reciprocated, and if history is any guide they will take advantage of our "respect" to further their own agenda.

Agreed. I welcome Rubio's call and hope those involved will humbly accept the appropriate rebuke, but I agree with you that I doubt it will make much difference. And that is sad.

Rubio is likely in Sosos pocket. I have zero respect or use for this man or anyone else remotely affiliated with Soros.

While I agree that support from Soros is concerning, look at the total amount. A total of less than $40K spent on six candidates and most of that targeted at Speaker Ryan. That leaves only a few thousand dollars for Rubio. In light of the millions of dollars Soros spend through MoveOn.org and other PAC's, this is such a negligible sum as to be irrelevant. I'm not really sure why this is even news to Breitbart to be honest. Until Soros is buying dinners at those $25,000/pop fundraising dinners, I'm not going to worry about it.

While I have no stomach for the Tea Party after encountering their alinsky DT propaganda I can agree with them, still, on their take on Rubio. When he is needed he balks and sides with the Establishment. A broken (non-digital) clock is right at least twice a day. I just can't trust him.

The fact he took money from Soros is enough for me. Why accept anything, particularly such relatively small amount, when you already have so many contributing so much already? Why not send it bakc with a note if he's the enemy?

I don't disagree. Again, that's why I couldn't bring myself to vote for him. I'm not advocating that he become the next President of the United States. I just appreciate a voice calling for calm in a storm and hope that this call for sanity does not fall on deaf ears.

Screw civility. They all deserve the worst names they've been called. And more to the point, you and I deserve plenty of gridlock up there until they're willing to stop writing new laws and regulations and start repealing ones we have now!

Let them start calling each other out and naming the people whose bribes each has taken, and maybe we'll get to see which few (if any) Congresscritters have any shame!

When government is down near the size it needs to be, then maybe I'll advocate for changes that would make them more efficient. Until then that's the last thing they should ever be.

I am so DONE with the liberals, I hardly know what to say. My advice to the non liberals is "to do whatever you can to promote freedom" with the power that you have, and ignore the idiot socialists.

Obama said it right (paraphrasing)- Elections have consequences and I won- so we do it my way. Trump should just take that advice.

Rubio or Carson were my initial picks, not Trump. Both men are extremely intelligent and have a certain dignity. Trump has the fire in the gut it took to go after the bad stuff. Soros gave money to almost everyone, certainly Hillary, Bernie, Move On, Black lives Matter, Kasich, Bush, etc. None of it meant to go for good, but for destruction of the USA.Rrubio's big error was listening to Romney at a time when he should have been himself. Rubio has great potential, if he avoids the pitfalls.
