Hour 8 should have said that the Dept of Education is a terrorist propaganda front.

I have heard people are really upset, and I do not get why. One of the things they've been upset about is she said spend too much money on special needs kids. I have seen this first-hand. They put special needs kids in a class they can't follow then hire a special teacher to walk them through it. The teacher sometimes manages only one special-needs student. They should certainly get help and education, but I don't think having them in a class they they have no hope of participating in is at all helpful. It appears to me when there are special needs, it's a blank check to blow money on things that don't even pretend to help the students.

I don't get why these people who are pro-choice on people's right to their own bodies are not pro-choice about schools.

I've heard good things about charter schools, for students who want to focus on a particular area and schools run by people who have beaten the cycle of poverty and provide education for single-parents in poor neighborhoods who want to keep their kids out of trouble. It sounds like an all-around good thing. It's just a choice. It's not establishing a religion or something.
