Just because they (the French and Germans) have semi surrendered their independence and soverign borders doesn't me we have to. In fact their example provides a multitude of reasons for us not to do so.
Objectivists would not fair well in a Muslim state not, I think, too well in modern Europe.

From what I hear, Germany would have to get in line behind Canada. Their PM has offered to take in all the would-be immigrants Trump has banned, and a lot of Canadians are pissed.

Yes. It is replaced by extreme political correctness and liberalism. I am half German actually but I think adding Islam to fascism isn't very good

It seems to me Germany tried to eradicate something like that before. This time their reasoning might not be so prejudiced.

Q: What did one lemming say to the other?

A: How many other stupid people will run off this cliff with us?

When Trumps 8 years are up here, perhaps we can loan him to Germany to try to "Make Germany Great Again"..

France and Germany have really STUPID leaders, and they deserve to deal with muslim violence. I say we dont say anything the next time they are bombed, and we dont help them in any way.

How wonderful of the French and Germans to take on refugees. For the French, some of them, it's payment. For the rest of the French it's payback, and payback for Germany. If we should later take on refugees they should be concentrated in New York and California where they're wanted. Soon even Canada will even be getting into the action, so we'll be able to see how well that goes. Will we ever have to build a northern wall?

I hope they continue to import terrorists with the success they have had in the past. Better there than here.

Germany is beginning to look more like the Weimar Republic every day, so I expect a modern Hitler will have his/her day there soon. Frauke Petry is carrying that banner, so she may be the rising radical star.

Many in France are looking to Marine LePen as a new populist, nationalist leader, but the French have got to drop the addiction to "free" stuff first. They (the people, not the government) seem to have come to grips with the danger the country is in from the invasion of radical Muslims, so we'll see.

" . . . with the German foreign minister noting that loving thy neighbor forms part of America's Christian traditions."

Staying alive is the first tradition.......

I'm sure the terrorists are grateful to know there will be easy access to targets in Germany and France,
giving Trump a little more time to get better enforcement and security in place.

I feel for Merkel. I think she has real misgivings that the German people still retain a sense of being part of a "master race", and may want to "out" other peoples.
It is, however, a less than legitimate stance at the moment.

I also recognized the collectivist nature of the statists in those statements.
I hope and dream Trump Amerexits from those destroyers. "Our duties" are to protect our
    Individual rights and ourselves.

My Dad went to the same parenting school. He also liked "when I say jump ,you say how high"
I am reminded of avoiding peer pressure. Sept 21, 1969 the first Monday night football game featuring the Super Bowl champs Jets vs the Browns.Jets beat The Colts . The colts had beat the Vikings so I was into it. I stayed home choosing not to roll pumpkins down a big hill hitting cars and trucks as many in the neighborhood were doing. When the police arrived and nabbed a younger participant. The names and addresses were given.
Soon a cop was at our door ,my older brother was ratted out. My dad double taked at me when he came back in the family room as to remind himself I was home with him as my alibi.

    I disagree with Merkle .
Germany's dpa news agency quoted Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert saying Sunday that "she is convinced that even the necessary, resolute fight against terrorism doesn't justify putting people of a particular origin or particular faith under general suspicion."

I recall what my dear departed dad said to me during my peer pressured young age struggles at least three or four times: "Just because you see people jumping off a bridge doesn't mean you have to."

They are eliminating themselves from the competition by allowing the destruction of their western culture of equality under law and individual productivity under free market capitalism.

Merkel is almost out now. Recall the humiliating defeat she suffered in the Berlin vote last year.
