France, Germany unite in face of Trump refugee ban

Just because they (the French and Germans) have semi surrendered their independence and soverign borders doesn't me we have to. In fact their example provides a multitude of reasons for us not to do so.
Objectivists would not fair well in a Muslim state not, I think, too well in modern Europe.

    Do you suppose European leaders are saying this, hoping to convince Americans and their leaders to accept the migrants so as to reduce the burden on themselves?

    Notice how they play the altruism/sacrifice card:

    " . . . with the German foreign minister noting that loving thy neighbor forms part of America's Christian traditions."

    "We have signed international obligations, so welcoming refugees fleeing war and oppression forms part of our duties," the French minister said.

    I wonder if these two will still be in office following the next elections in their respective countries.
