I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...albeit by my own act of seeking words to help me explain to myself what I have valued and acted upon since I was 8 years old; to the consternation of family and later employers.

I am married, age 62, Black woman to an extraordinary White man ( aged 75) for 27 years of whose value to me cannot be determined in dollars and cents but in my respect for his intellect and devotion to his inventive nature and my own.

We both love to read and learn and I came upon Ayn Rand's book via an audio book which was an epiphany for us both...so much so, we wept in relief for the way we have chosen to live our lives. We consider finding this forum a good place to learn and share what we learn.

PS the flight was long, tumultuous and worth it.
