Responsible for 60 bombings in NYC" and at least four deaths. The current mayor apparently likes his "politics.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio also celebrated Rivera’s freedom on Twitter. “Thank you @POTUS for freeing #OscarLopezRivera,” he wrote in English and Spanish. “Congratulations to all who fought for this day.”

What's flabbergasting is that in 1999, when Bill Clinton offered Rivera clemency if he expressed regret over his actions, Rivera refused, said he was proud of what he did, and if released would set bombs again. Another land mine for the Trump administration?

Anyone delusional enough to think progressives actually give a damn about the innocent is putting everyone in danger. There is a disease of narcissistic selfishness spreading, and the danger here is that with Rivera's release, young hysterics are being fed the idea that violence in pursuit of extremist goals is OK.

I remember reading a comment from some one in the Ukraine he said "The USA can recover from Obama's actions, but the real trouble is the people elected him twice"

    I agree AJ ,
Years ago my father had won a sales contest with the prize, a trip to Puerto Rico. He was swimming in the sea when he found he was being swept away by a strong rip tide.
Struggling to stay alive he was screaming for help and seeing that no one on the beach could see him he thought he would drown. Then out of nowhere a local who was surfing grabbed his arm and saved him. People are for the most part good everywhere, it is the philosophy of altruism that enables the kakistocrats to lead them to their demise.

One is pardoned for acts prior to the pardon, but not for the future. Perhaps some agencies of law enforcement will keep an eye on each and every one of the 1385 (or however many it's up to by now) and see what the perpetrate next. "You can't prosecute me for this robbery I just did. I have a Presidential pardon!"

To be precise, The Dear Golfer commuted his sentence, not pardoned him. Compared to him, Manson was a wimp. Why not commute his sentence as well?

    What the hell?

The only good thing about this is it clearly highlights what Obama is really about.

    Hello Dobrien,
O is a fool. I wouldn't be surprised if he pardoned Charles Manson... Lately time moves to quickly for my liking as I age... However, inauguration Friday noon cannot come quick enough. I find Trump wanting, but at least he is not a dedicated Marxist.
    Regards,
    O.A.

In the 70's and 80"sI lived and worked in NYC on Wall st ...I remember when the bomb went off at lunch time @ Fraunces Tavern 4 or 5 people were killed ,many injured .This was the first terrorist that I saw first hand and was appalled by the caranage to innocents . If that bomb was planted for the dinner crowd I too might be one of the victims .For our president to give this terrorst a pardon is unthinkable .I'm ashamed and outraged at Obama ,his only aim in all this is to once again poke a finger in the eye of the establishment .Friday can't come soon enough .

I was in Puerto Rico twice (Roosevelt Roads) in the mid-80s and both times I was instructed to not wear my uniform off base, not to take rides from locals, and to only take liberty in groups of two or more.

I had a great time in Puerto Rico, and enjoyed my evenings of liberty, I never once felt uncomfortable or threatened. Even so, outside the gate there was always at least two people holding anti-American signs(I think the most was 6).

Based on roughly a 120 hours of liberty time, I do not think the majority of Puerto Rican's harbor any hate toward America or Americans. Still, I do think its high time for that nation to sh*t or get off the pot when it comes to being a state.

Rivera is not indicative of PRs feelings toward the US. The bastard should have been fried years ago rather than sit in jail.

    Hi AJ,
He is hell bent on setting records. The most executive orders. This from the http://Whitehouse.gov.
1 day ago - President Obama's 1,385 commutation grants – which includes 504 life sentences – is also more than the total number of commutations issued by the past 12 presidents combined. And with today's 64 pardons, the President has now granted a total of 212 pardons.
His respect for the laws that incarcerated these criminals is wanting.I am Counting the hours.

I guess O-racist can't set PR free with an executive order. Shouldn't that have been even more satisfying for Rivera and more justice for the victims of Rivera's murders?

I have never in my life had a clue as to what purpose setting off bombs in NYC would do to gain Puerto Rico's independence. I do know that one victim was to attend his Ten year olds birthday party , they had a funeral instead .
I guess they liberated a family from the shackles of a bread winner and a loving father.

By all means give Puerto Rico independence with no foreign aid whatsoever. Let them show they can be more productive than the rest of the Americas.
