The President has now granted commutation to a total of 1,715 individuals, including 568 people who had been sentenced to life in prison. The vast majority of these men and women are serving unduly long sentences for drug crimes. With today’s action, the President has granted more commutations than any president in this nation’s history and has surpassed the number of commutations granted by the past 13 presidents combined. The President set out to reinvigorate clemency, and he has done just that.

This is something "what Obama is really about" that an objective press should have exposed long ago.

The whole idea of self determination using ones acquired knowledge for self determination and independence is not an idea that any longer exists in the USA. Many people as we are constantly seeing just want their 15 minutes of fame regardless of the consequences to themselves or those needlessly affected by their actions. The real tragedy is the lack of response by the congress to allow the police departments around the country to do their jobs for the best result for their communities. Of course when there is a president who functions as these 15 minute of fame people do what can you expect; exactly what we are seeing. another nail in the coffin of the country.

I find it interesting that those who claim their altruistic values (he was fighting to liberate Puerto Rico to socialism) kill far more people than those who would live the life of an objectivist and simply leave others alone.
