excellent point john. However his field is SOCIAL economics, and some of his comments and articles within that arena I disagree with

Thomas Sowell is another of my favorite authors, though when he strays from his field of economics he occasionally strays from the purely rational.

I believe people in charge of education believe they want kids to think. However they better think the right things or they will be C students at best.

Johnny can't read because the NEA using John Dewey's progressive education philosophy is teaching him not to think! Johnny is not confusing thinking with feelings, he doesn't even know what thinking is! See for yourself.
