Nice little video of the WH press briefing where "Josh" gets to ask all the "right" questions. Not sure what the whole thing was like, but "Josh" certainly seemed to be "the man".

Seer, if I disagree with you, I will be honest and upfront, but not confrontational. I like to discuss and calmly debate, but not argue. The arguing, name calling and belligerent behavior is for those who do not want to find and accept facts. They usually, but not always, inhabit the other side of the spectrum..

I absolutely agree with you. If I sound defensive, it is because there are many who disagree with me, and I sometimes get a little paranoid!

Yes, I was agreeing with your point. I was saying there is no justification, it is just the typical label use that they always seem to resort to when they have nothing real to say. Facts are a foreign idea to them, they operate on emotions.

    Talk about "fake news" ...
This press conference was as spontaneous as opening night of the play: HAMILTON.
    VERY well rehearsed.

I thought that was my point. Maybe you're saying there is no justification for calling Trump a fascist. Nobody (on the right) questions that. It's an absurdity, like saying he is a sexist or a racist.
But try to pin the Leftist/Liberals down, and they can't even tell you what "fascist" or "fascism" means. That is why I posted Orwell's essay on "Politics and the English Language."

yep, but without justification (that is based on fact, not their vague interpretations). The name calling and labeling has gotten them to the point it is pretty meaningless...

Well, it is probably a side effect of the Internet, as there is no way to rapidly vette a story, when new organizations used to have to protect their reputation. I do believe if an illegal commits a violent crime, or injures/kills someone, they should be deported, and the border should be such as to prevent re-entry, and cities like SF should be liable under law, which a Judge has already told the family they cannot do. You should be able to sue for damages anyone (gov't or person) causes, which SF did by ignoring the fact he was illegal and releasing him. So, they need to get control over them, or impose laws they cannot ignore. You are correct in the safe space desire, it is apparent in the way they pander to the element and promise everything in the world, with no intention of delivery, Bernie and Hillary both kept trying to out do each other with giveaways...that will continue until people toughen up and learn to live with reality.

We agree on that, there was no conspiracy unless there was irregularities at the ballot box, of which I have not heard, like 4 years ago when the guy did the video in Ohio where his Rep vote changed to Dem, several times, and he gave up in disgust. And yes, Executive Branch power has been steadily increasing in the last 70 years, and needs to be heavily pruned back. EO should be found unconstitutional unless directly related to government operations, not policy.

I didn't say I trust politicians. I'm saying I see no conspiracies surrounding the election. The votes were counted fairly. The gov't is accepting the results. Things are good in that department.

    The name-calling is childish.

If the part at the end is an allusion to ever-increasing executive branch power, it's the thing I'm most concerned about.

There's plenty of Libs on One Political Plaza who call him a fascist. And many black organizations.

This precious world-view stuff must stop. I have not heard President Obama attempting to craft a narrative blaming Russian hacking, but it's a moot point because he's only president for another week.

    "mandatory 5 year sentence"
I'm against mandatory minimum sentencing, for liberalizing immigration and doubly for sentencing laws singling out undocumented people, all for reasons unrelated to this issue of elections; It's likely other Democrats are too.

    "their precious world view"
It's gotten insane. I think it's just all these new "news" outlets. People knew the Enquirer was unreliable, but people now read stories even less reliable made up from whole cloth. That led to recent claims that there really aren't facts. There's just what we want to be true. If you don't like President-elect Trump, then Russian hacking hurts his legitimacy. People said Osama bin Laden wanted undermine McCain. I can want the gov't to investigate those things without it undermining the legitimacy of President Obama or President-elect Trump.

It really feels like half the society wants a "safe space" from facts they don't like. Maybe it's just the Internet. In the 90s I had a subscription to the WSJ. If someone wrote a letter to the editor that involved name-calling or claims that everything is a partisan ploy, they wouldn't print it. I think I should go back to that.

So you're right on the money with your first sentence that you have to find media that try to provide correct information.

I have seen nothing to support that term, except the delusional leftists who seem to believe it (as if Hillary was not Mussolini's long lost sister). If any label was to be used, it might be Nationalist, but even then, he fails several tests there I think. Rational Realist, maybe. But at least he knows bad from good...for the most part...

That is just the way it is, too. I do not trust Republicrats, other than Trump does not seem to carry their agenda. Notice how he yanked their chain over the rule change they tried to pass before they even had a foot in the door?

I am thinking they applied some pressure of some kind. With them, it could be anything from money, to military to pictures of the Queen doing bad things with small rodents. You never know. The Swedes will not admit to it, because it would be so embarrassing.

Doc, I just couldn't handle the arrogance and the "say whatever it takes" attitude. Never bothered to look at policies, because I just knew they would be good for her and her gang and bad for us.Her and Stalin could have run a good race for Times "Man of the Year".....

I disagree, they have lied, cheated, and even lied to the Congress, just to cover up their actions. They do it with a straight face. They manipulate and obfuscate. Sorry, CG, I will NEVER trust another Dumbocrap to speak truth, again. Not that I trust Republicrats either, but you can trust and verify with them, for now. Obama's gang made the White House Plumbers look professional...

CG, at some point you have to assume media has some intrinsic truth behind it, even though in todays world, it is increasingly hard to tell. It is exactly what 1989 was built on. "We will tell you what to think, when to think it, and what to say". If you look at the Obama narrative it is summed up as "we lost because of THEM" (in many respects (hacking, propaganda, slanted news etc)). You are correct, it did not impact the election at all, which is why, at this late date, it is just yet another way they are trying to change the narrative. If they were such humanitarians, why have the Dumbocraps blocked the law the Republicrats have introduced to have a mandatory 5 year sentence for illegals committing a crime? I have not dug into this, I just heard it on Fox, as one of the arguments for how disingenuous they really are, but if true, it is illustrative of their real agenda, which does not include anything for anyone but themselves and their precious world view..

Seer, I agree with all your points, they apply to exactly what is going on, and the way the who Left gang has behaved is indicative of the mindset.

CircuitGuy, get this: the ODNI (Office of the Department of National Intelligence) also says:
"A significant chunk of blame for the alleged interference in the US election campaign has been also put onto Russian media, particularly RT. The document, which incorrectly cited some of the so-called facts it used, claimed that RT served “as a platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences.”

In Nazi Germany, caring Germans found out what was happening IN THEIR OWN country--Germany--from newspapers surreptitiously obtained from other countries.

And don't forget, just to be on the safe side, and make sure everyone knows the Democrats would have won except for....(fill in the blank), he has also blamed RT articles and social media posters for "misinformation". Well, that was his mistake. He didn't remember his Goebbels. Should have outlawed their presence on the world wide web.

Ovomit said this in his Stephanopoulos interview, yesterday, I think:
“I don't think I underestimated him, but I think that I underestimated the degree to which, in this new information age, it is possible for misinformation, for cyber hacking AND SO FORTH (caps mine) to have an impact on our open societies, our open systems, to insinuate themselves into our democratic practices in ways that I think are accelerating,” he said." ---In other words, people posting on forums such as this are posting misinformation and insinuating themselves into "our democratic practices".
    http://www.rt.com/usa/373017-obama-wa...

    And this about Goebbels:
"As Minister of Enlightenment, Goebbels had two main tasks:
to ensure nobody in Germany could read or see anything that was hostile or damaging to the Nazi Party.
to ensure that the views of the Nazis were put across in the most persuasive manner possible.
To ensure success, Goebbels had to work with the SS and Gestapo and Albert Speer. The former hunted out those who might produce articles defamatory to the Nazis and Hitler while Speer helped Goebbels with public displays of propaganda

    .From here: http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/...

Meaning, I don't think he likes my "cut-and-paste" jobs. He made a mistake; he forgot about Goebbels' rules of propaganda.

    Welcome to Nazi Germany, folks.
