    It starts off rightly saying the president does not have much influence on the economy but takes the credit or blame. Random chance gave President Obama a huge advantage in that he took office during a crisis. I'm committing the gambler's fallacy, but I feel like we're "due" for a recession. The Republicans control the gov't and will probably push for massive borrowing tlto keep the recession from happening on their watch. They'll hope the inevitable fiscal / monetary crisis won't happen on their watch.

    If I'm wrong and the deficit decreases, that's great for everyone. Republicans and President elect Trump will deserve some credit b/c Congress controls the federal budget.
