Under your name at the upper right of the menu bar is a dropdown that allows you to edit your Profile. You can change your formal name (not your username). You can add a picture (150x150 square is best). You can add a thumbnail autobiography. If you are on Facebook, or Twitter, or have a blog or website you can add links to them. I have a blog and so, if you click my username in a post you will see next to my picture two icons. One shows me as a Producer; the other, a world circle, links to my blog.

How you present yourself lets other people meet you. Under Categories in the center of the menubar are four options for Classified ads. Those also let you tell other people here about yourself.

Note that at the bottom here, you see another picture. When you submit a post - any post - you can attach a graphic.
