Just because you are a member of the cult of Rand, doesn't mean you get to redefine words and intellectual concepts the way she did. Raising concerns over the danger of self-serving impulses in no way equates with volunteering to serve that cause.

This has nothing to do with what you teach your children, unless your fringe belief system threatens their safety. What this is about is you feeling you have a mandate to force your world of hatred and exclusion onto others, blaming the poor of this nation for ending up on the short side of your greed.

You see, I don't buy into your false premise that the poor are poor because they didn't play by the rules and work hard. I don't accept that the Capitalism demands that the business owner steal whatever profits he can from his workers. That rule doesn't exist anywhere in the Capitalist rulebook, it was made up by those trying to justify greed. Only in the US do we see such excessiveness of self-serving impulses. The rest of the world recognizes that society is interconnected, and that we are strongest both as a nation and as individuals when we strive to enable everyone equally. Inclusion, not hateful exclusion for the sake of personal profit.

Those 3 year old children who quote scripture on YouTube are volunteering as well. As are all those people working for minimum wage at McDonalds and Walmart. It all depend on how you define the word "volunteer." Of course, if you're a Randite, you make up new definitions at will, and then start arguing through your new and imaginary premise, just like Rand did.

"You must provide your own transportation. You will not be monetarily compensated."

Sounds to me like someone's mooching off the labors of others.
