Trump eschews Ivy Leagues in favor of business acumen for cabinet

The Ivy League academics tend to be out and out leftists or at least lean very left most of the time. Business people tend to be moderate to right. They have to run a business and make money doing it. Leftists have a very hard time doing that. (Prime example Venezuelan).
Now if he puts a business man in for SECDEF I'll hae some questions. Likewise if he puts a general in for Se of Interior again I'll have questions.

mminnick, I seldom comment on your posts since so many of them appear to be just 'news-headline aggregation'.

But in this case, I see an Objectivist ideal of the doers and makers, instead of the technocrats in government. Whether these individuals prove worthy of their selection, at least the idea of not-a-professional-politician and not-a-professional/policy-guider are positives that as an Objectivist, will be interesting to watch.
