I predicted they'd publish the names and addresses of the electors. They did. Now they're getting death threats. Right out of the leftist playbook. Out here in Cal the newspapers publish the same on people who contribute money on propositions pro-conservative.

Some media people need to point out how closely this parallels the actions of the Nazis and Chairman Mao.

This is the real story. "We are right. We need the power. You should not be allowed to speak or vote..."

This is what the left do. You have to be careful with liberals. You might know one who you think is a nice person and, after years of knowing them, they'll let their façade down and say something completely repulsive.

The violence I detected from the left made enough of an impression on me that I did away with my presence in social media. I don't even have a linkedin site for some of my work anymore. These people are very scary. Even little old lady passive liberals I've known for years are expressing a desire for violence. What a trip!

Those little old ladies have probably been told that conservatives want to deprive them of their social security checks.
Every long once in a while the Democrat Party will send me a questionnaire that's really a donation attempt.
Talk about loaded questions jammed with twisted propaganda!

The first response to a death threat should be to arm yourself, whether a "permit" is possible to get or not. Yes, I have a concealed carry license, but if I lived in New Jersey (which I don't) and couldn't get one, really, the Second Amendment is all you really need. A "right" does not require government permission.

My stupid response to phoned death threats around 1974 left me only armed with a serious knife and some Marine training about how to use it when I saw two young men approach from a diner where I was alone in a laundromat.
I recognized one as someone I wrote a newspaper story about going to jail.
I was brainstorming about should I let them talk or should I blade the first one through the door.
Then the partner stopped, said something while shaking his head and walked away.
The one I wrote about decided he did not want to face me alone and he followed the other guy.
Back then there was a two weeks waiting period even if you sorely needed a handgun.
My first was an HK .380 pocket pistol. A year later I could afford a .45 for my glove compartment.
Since then I've always had something to shoot and now the largest collection of firearms ever,
But I've never faced a threat like the one I had waiting alone in that laundromat.

    Hi Dino,
    Thanks for the story.
If Trump is not inaugurated . I predict big trouble. No one will trust anything. I Can't get worked up over these political leeches.
I hope they get a good sprinkling of salt.

All of this, Clinton now challenging the election results, death threats against electors, begins to sound like the thrashing death throes of an evil beast. It makes me wonder if there really is an Illuminati that senses the organization is losing its global stranglehold on power, and is intent on the destruction of the world's biggest economy, even if it brings chaos.

Even the Clinton staff admit a recount of votes in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan is unlikely to reverse the result, as even the smallest spread (Michigan) is much larger than any difference reversed in previous recounts. They emphatically state that they've detected no sign of hacking or fraud that would justify a recount, so why are they going along with it? If I thought they had any integrity, I suppose I could credit them with feeling they have to satisfy the rabid supporters now rioting in the streets that the election was just and fair, having witnessed the recount themselves. On the other hand, how better to show you don't really trust the outcome? Trump better be sure to have his own team there if a recount does happen.

Threats against the electors are unlikely to change the results, because even if the count was changed, the final step is with the House, that certifies the results of the electoral college, and they can declare for the winning candidate of the election if they feel fraud or coercion changed the vote.

What else can the beast do? One of two very frightful things: assassinate Trump, or widespread extreme violence that necessitates martial law and a delay in the transfer of power. The one unexpected, out of kilter thing remaining, and equally unsettling, is to assassinate the current President in a way that implies Trump supporters were behind it.

Button up, buttercup. The ride is about to get very bumpy.

25 years or more , it was a 2016 highlight to see her loser face in tears and agony when Trump became Pres Elect .To bad she didn't have the courage to face her supporters , they only waited8-10 hrs and sent Podesto out instead with a lame send off.

It was then that the demure prim and proper Democrat far more "fit" than Trump to be a presidential candidate of these United States of America exploded into a shrieking and bawling hysterical conniption fit, throwing stuff around and generally acting like a three-year-old whose ice cream was eaten by the family dog.

This has the Clintons all over it, dumping him for her is a non-starter after taking a beating, but getting a dump trump thing going when she already has 200 electoral votes as a 'republican movement ' would be the strategy to try.

She's villainous, sold 20% of our uranium to the Russians, hell, she would sell her own kid it has become obviously apparent.

Don't underestimate the stress that Trump's no-lobbyists and Drain the Swamp rhetoric has put on Washington, millions of people in Maryland and Northern Virginia make a comfortable living buying access, favors, and bidding on contracts with a higher than reasonable level of resulting success. These people have no idea what they are going to do if the rules change, I do business in that market, they all look catatonic. I'm personally enjoying this because I'm California based, we were never on the 'inside' and had to work a lot harder.

Trump only had 6% of the vote in DC, that's how many - 94% - rely on favors, access, and union cronies. If I were him, I'd wear that as a badge of courage.

For a while, commuting out to New York is not a bad idea, these freaks are going to be bat-shit crazy when the first D.C. Recession hits. Keep in mind, they have always had double-digit growth, never a slowdown.

The Republican Party is becoming nuttier than the Democratic Party. That, my friends is pretty damn cuckoo. When you see what appears to be otherwise normal individuals become sillier than those cuckoo birds, then you know they are politicians.

I they dump Trump in the electoral college, there will be civil war in the USA, period. No more peaceful transfer of power- the deplorables will just withdraw from the system. Maybe that will be "shrugging" in action. Its about time actually.

It would be very stupid indeed. Not likely to happen actually. It didn't happen with bush vs gore. If Hillary was declared president she would get nothing passed and the republican would go after her tooth and nail

If it happened contrary to the rules, it wouldn't even matter whether she got things passed. We have widely interpreted the Constitution, but in my mind we still follow it. We bend it, but don't break it. If we out-and-out ignored the results of an election or changed the rules after the popular vote, it's over. We could no longer say we bend the rules. Our institutions would just be fig leaf to cover political machinations. They would continue as the the institutions of the Roman Republic persisted in the Roman Empire but not having real power. I have no fear of it actually happening. I've overheard people musing about it, and I think we shouldn't even joke about it.

Publicity and money. The Green party gets to keep any of the donations that don't get spent on the recount. The liberals are paying up in the hopes that the recount will save them from Trump. Vote margin in the smallest of the three states that would have to be overturned is larger than the largest recount discrepancy has ever found.

"After review, the ruling on the field is confirmed".

A very interesting approach to getting someone elected President. just think about this scenario.
No candidate gets the requisite 270/ Then the top three electoral vote getters name are provided to the House. There the states vote on who they want fro president. If I recall the process correctly, each state gets one vote. The majority rules in each state and it takes 26 states to win.
Now the question becomes how many state US house delegations does each party control. I'm not sure but it would get very interesting if it goes to the House for a decision.

Most of the low-population states are rural and "red", so the Repubs have a bigger majority that way than they do by counting House seats.

Until now me dino never gave any thought what it would be like to have a neck-to-neck-to-neck race with three strong political parties with each being unable to reach 270.
